Renée Zellweger caused a commotion on Monday when she debuted her new look on the red carpet. While she insists the dramatic change is simply due to a lifestyle change, both critics and experts disagree. New York Daily News spoke to local plastic surgeons, who all agree the Bridget Jones’ Diary actress has had work done. “There is no question she has had her upper eyelids done,” Manhattan plastic surgeon Dr. Thomas Sterry explains. “She always had that cherub-y face, and suddenly … her eyes [are] much wider.”
A source on the red carpet also spoke about the extreme change. “When people got up close to her, they were taken back by what she had done to her face. Everyone was whispering about how different she looked,” the source revealed.
Regardless of how she’s changed her look, the actress maintains she is happy. “I’m living a different, happy, more fulfilling life, and I’m thrilled that perhaps it shows,” she told People. Isn’t that what’s really important? ~Kelly Townsend
