Farrah FawcettFarrah Fawcett, 62, died at John’s Medical Center in Santa Monica at 9:28 a.m. Thursday morning after a three-year battle with cancer. Longtime friend Alana Stewart and Ryan O’Neal were by her side. Her son with O’Neal, Redmond, is currently in jail on drug charges, but was allowed a three-hour visit with his mother just over a month ago to say goodbye. Fawcett rose to superstardom and pin-up girl status in the 1970s when she starred in the hit series Charlie’s Angels. She left the show to pursue more serious roles and received three Emmy nominations for her work in various projects, as well as five Golden Globe nominations. Fawcett and O’Neal lived together from 1980 until they broke up in 1997, but they’d grown close again in the past year. Fawcett’s last appearance on the big screen was in The Cookout (2004). A recent NBC documentary, Farrah’s Story, documented the actress’s struggle with cancer. She has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame at 7051 Hollywood Blvd. Click here for our tribute to Farrah Fawcett.

Rest in peace farrah, now you are at rest with the ANGLES above just like you are, now you maybe at rest. with no more pain, you allowed people to see who you really were and that takes an angle to do, and not hide. we love you and you will be sadly missed. Our thoughts are with Ryan and Redmond, FarraH IS GONE TO A BETTER PLACE WHERE SHE IS AT PEACE NOW AND SHE WOULD NOT WONT YOU, TO STOP IN TIME AND NOT LIVE YOUR LIVE TO THE FULLEST AS SHE DID, BUT TAKE A NOTE HOW SHE DID YOU LIVE DAY BY DAY LIKE YOUR LAST AND TO THE FULLEST.

good to have you back, quinn, it’s been awhile!

I personally wouldn’t classify Farrah and MJ in the same category regards to Entertainment Achievement, I believe MJ far surpassed her there, but for sure recognize the sadness of her passing and the pain associated with her illness…

  23. jeanne • June 29, 2009 @ 2:08 PM

God has called Farrah home, She was a true believer in God and Jesus and for this reason sure she is now with the Lord. For her family and friends I offer my prayers an sympathy. Remember, Farrah lives on because of her faith and one day you will be united.

    God Bless!

    Jeanne

I wanted to extend my deepest sympathy and thoughts to Farrah’s family and close friends. Death is not the end, but the beginning for those who have believed in Jesus Christ. I realize this is a sorrowful time, but God has promised that we will all be one family in his kingdom. I hope the comfort of the words of Jesus give you strength during this difficult period. Trust in his words.

  25. Sandy • June 29, 2009 @ 2:24 PM

Farrah was a very beautiful and talented actress, but more importantly she had faith in God and Jesus. She is now with the Lord in a beautiful and perfect place. Remember the promise of God. That those who believed in him, thou they may die, yet they shall live. Find comfort that you will see Farrah again. That will be a joyous day for you and all those who trusted in Jesus the savior.
