FBI involved in nude Scarlett Johansson photo leak

Earlier this year, it was reported that a group of hackers had broken into the cell phones and personal email accounts of several female celebrities, to steal nude photos and then post them on-line. Vanessa Hudgens was one of the first to be exposed, so to say, and she enlisted the help of the FBI to track down the perps (so far, to no avail). Blake Lively was the next one to have her photos posted, and this morning, nude cell phone photos, allegedly of Scarlett Johansson, turned up on several websites, including Celebrity Dirty Laundry. TMZ reports that Scarlett is also dealing with the FBI in an effort to find the hackers and get them shut down before stolen photos of other actresses show up on the web.

I can complete understand your stance and why you would respond with that sort of response. I am not here to try and debate the morals in hacking (cracking) a targeted cell phone and leaking private photos. I think we can all agree that it is illegal/ morally wrong. So I’d rather focus on the other side of this. Who in their right mind takes nude photos of themselves and keeps them on their cellphone? It is a given that in the profession she has chosen and being as attractive as she is that those types of photos will always be highly coveted. People would do whatever they need to to acquire them. In the past we’ve seen physical intrusions/physical theft. What has happened here is just an extension of that. So to summarize why would anyone in her position intentionally put her self in that position? I don’t want to go as far as to say these celebs deserved this but ignorance is not security. Here’s hoping these celebs have learnt their lesson.
i think if she didn’t want naked pictures of herself all over the internet she should have taken them. especially with something so easily hacked like a cell phone…

She has nothing to worry about! Her body should be shown off to show people what being physically fit is all about! However, the second photo could be a fake. The face is her but the body could be someone elces.
Kind of weird that she had to take nude photos of herself on her cell phone. You would think a gorgous man would be there taking the pictures of her!
I don’t think anyone would have anything negative to say about her photos. She is an amazing actress who looks great!! Remember thou cell phones are easily hacked, So in the future if you want to take more nude photos and don’t want to run the risk of getting them exposed, try an old school polaroid camera.
I wonder if the leak is as accidental as we are led to believe. 1.Why take nude pics of your self at all and then leave on your cell phone. 2.Of all the celebs in the world, how do the hackers keep finding the young ladies that have these pics on their phones.

Hasn’t she been nude in countless photos/movies? I doubt she’s mortified. I bet she’s thrilled. And I agree Bug. There are a lot of women better looking than her.
It really upsets me to think that the FBI is spending resources and time focused on such an unimportant task!! FBI should be focused on more important community issues! Hackers should be caught but not on FBI time!!
Hmmm! Although she’s beautiful and in “good” shape, you have to wonder why the hell she’s taking friggen pictures of herself naked? For her to look at later when she’s older? Doing stuff like puts you at the risk of just what’s happening now….stupid stupid people.
… a friend of mine related that a friend of his knows someone in the FBI who overheard that approximately 48 FBI agents volunteered to investigate this case. Apparently, these agents were highlevel types who were tired of chasing down confirmed but uncollaborated tips from Homeland Security involving mundane issues like national security.
… apparently an internal memo describe Johannson’s ass’ets as a national treasure worthy of their protection eventhough they belong to another nation.
… on a more positive note the US Transport Authority says they have plenty of photographs of Jonannson the FBI can use for compairson purposes.
I agree, if ppl of any status (but especially celebs) doen’t want photos like this getting out don’t take them or do a better job of being discreet. I think it’s quite possible someone has pasted her face on someone else. As well NO THIS IS NOT a good way to portray what a healthy figure looks like. She is a good looking actress but we can see that with clothes on and don’t need more push for young girls to feel they need to be twigs.
On a side note Tribute needs to have a – don’t care or none of the above option in their voting polls.
These pictures were taken for her private use, presumably to send to a male companion of her’s. What they do and how they do it is fully up to them. Regardless of the inadvisability of this situation, she still has a rite to privacy and that should be the main issue debated here-not “she’s stupid for taking those pictures!”
Keeping pictures like that on your phone maybe a security risk and there have been precedents in the past where this very thing has happened. However, there have also been situations in the past that have shown paparazzi climbing walls to take photographs of celebs in their homes. Should Scarlett refrain from having sex from the privacy of her bedroom then for fear of those pictures being taking?
I understand she should be more careful since she’s targeted because of her status, but doesn’t mean that she shouldn’t be able to do what she wants, including taking pictures of a private nature.
That being said, the FBI shouldn’t waste time on it since this will just blow over anyway. And also, I first didn’t believe they were real pictures. I always thought her larger in the chest and these pictures seem to be lacking in that department:P
If she didn’t want her naked body ever to be released she never should have taken the pictures. Seriously has she never seen the news before? This happens all the time. She’s just looking for attention.
How many non celebs have had this happen one way or another and everyone would say they should take better care of the pics! Just because they are celebs doesnt mean special consideration.
These are adults and if they want to take nude pics of themselves and have it in their phone no one has the right to invade their privacy. Why don’t the hackers post their own pictures online. Do unto others as you would like others to do to you, and this dosen’t apply only to celebrities it applies to everyone, come on what’s the level of satisfaction from hurting.
Yes when you see a body of a female that is beautiful in all directions, she doesn’t need for it to be blasted half away around the world to make sure everyone gets a glimpse. This is in very poor taste especially coming from you tribute, must you be a scab like everyone else?

Pretty much every young person takes nude/semi-nude photos of themselves these days, for a girlfriend/boyfriend or whatever, and really, if it “leaks”, who cares? I don’t think this should be taken on by the FBI…. They have a LOT better things to do. Even the cops shouldn’t get involved. Don’t take the photos, be more careful where you store them, or suck it up if people see you naked. It’s not the end of the world….
And, don’t harp on the people blogging about it; you came here to read it. You obviously were as interested as the rest of us, and offering up info we’re interested in is the job of companies like Tribute.
I agree that it is a further violation of her privacy to re-post these photos. Shame on you.
If Tribute hadn’t posted the pictures, most people would be on here saying, Well, where are the pictures? Tribute, do your job and don’t give us half the story. Bunch of whiners.
Here is the thing-why would you take naked pics of yourself on a cell phone? Regular cameras are easy to use if you wanted to do that and its not as easy to get access to the pictures.
Anyway she looks nice, nothing dirty about these pictures so I don’t know what the big deal is.

SJ does look amazing but why would you take these kind of pics, to admmire yourself when you’re bored? Not like she can’t afford a pro to take nude shots for her own collection say, if she wants to look back one day and go DAYAM I WAS HOT! And they don’t seem like the kind of shots that someone would take of themselves if they were to send them to their partner in a text to be playful and sexy. I just find it funny that so many celebs whose careers are either on shaky ground or those who want to bring their lack of celebrity-dom to the next level seem to run into this problem of “leaked” photos..kind of weird, the habits of celebrities…
Hello!!! Hackers aren’t something thats new. They can get into anything. You take your chances taking pics like that. I’m NOT saying she got what she deserved or anything. If you’re going to take pics like that just remember that they may not be safe.

I think she is hot. Regarding the pics, well it’s HER cell phone. Sadly those violating her personal private cell phone suck. Making money off someones privacy. I know if my hot girlfriend wanted to send me pics out of the blue, I’d be happy for the treat. But to have someone break into her phone and post them somewhere would be a violation of something meant for just her and I.
I don’t think that what this person or persons did was a good thing at all. It’s a violation.
