Fifty Shades of Grey book giveaway

FiftyShadesofGreyBillionaire Christian Grey kicks it up a notch as he romances Anastasia Steele in the highly anticipated Fifty Shades of Grey. Are you prepared for what goes down behind those closed doors? If you’re patiently waiting for Valentine’s Day to catch this film, you might be interested in this – we are giving four lucky winners a copy of the Fifty Shades of Grey book by E.L. James.

Anastasia Steele (Dakota Johnson), 21, is studying at Washington State University. She takes a writing assignment for the school paper to interview Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan), a 27-year-old successful and wealthy entrepreneur. Although she finds him intimidating, she’s instantly attracted to Christian.

He later shows up at the hardware store where she works part time and buys cable ties, masking tape and rope. They begin a relationship, but beforehand, he asks her to sign a non-disclosure agreement forbidding her to discuss anything that they do together. She learns he’s into BDSM and he then asks her to sign a second contract consenting to dominance and submission and tells her their relationship will not be romantic.

To win a copy of this giveaway, simply tell us why you want to win a copy of this book. Contest ends Feb. 16. Winners will be notified Feb. 17.

I would like to win a copy of this book because in all honesty, I’ve been too embarrassed to buy it in the bookstore. Yes, I realize I could have bought an e-reader edition, but there is nothing like the feel of the weight of an actual book in my hands.

I see this story as a great study in the contrast between what our societal programming and our actual biological wiring tells us we should want in our romantic and sexual lives. I want to see how this book handles the subject.

This book is, in a way, insisting itself upon me. Over the last several years it’s been nigh on impossible not to miss all the articles, interviews and promos for the books, and now the movie. I’ll have a huge sense of “missing something” if I don’t read it, and if I win a copy, I’ll finally know what that something is!

As I am a male, I see all the ladies names wanting a copy of this book, As I enjoy reading, I have to wonder if all these ladies know womething I do not! Therefore , I believe I should obtain a copy and read it cover to cover and see if I have been missing somthing.

  33. Lisette • February 5, 2015 @ 7:27 PM

I volunteer in a long-term care facility. One of the elderly clients had bought the book but was having a hard time reading due to her reduced vision. So I would sit with her almost every day and read to her 50 Shades of Grey. We had a great time talking and laughing about the adventures between Christian and Ana and how she compared her love life to that in the book. She LOVED the book and couldn’t wait to read the other books. Unfortunate, her cancer over took her and I never had the chance to spent more incredible time with this lady reading the other 2 books. I could easily buy all 3 books but each time I found it difficult because of the loss. But I figure if I win the books through you, it will feel as if she wants me to preserve the memory of our time together.

  34. Deb • February 5, 2015 @ 11:48 PM
