Last weekend’s top film, the comedy/horror Freaky starring Vince Vaughn, stayed in first place for the second weekend in a row, earning an extra $1.2 million for a total of $5.6 million at the domestic box office.
The War with Grandpa starring Robert De Niro and Oakes Fegley rose back up to second place in its seventh weekend, earning an additional $733,067 for a total of $16.2 million.
The thriller Let Him Go starring Kevin Costner and Diane Lane fell one spot to third place. It earned another $710,000 for a three-week total of $7.9 million.
The horror movie Come Play, about a monster who uses a lonely little boy to invade his home, held steady in fourth place with estimated earnings of $550,000 for a total of $8.1 million.
Rounding out the top five was the re-issue of the classic Christmas movie The Santa Clause, starring Tim Allen, which took in $461,000. ~Alexandra Heilbron
