Gary Busey fired from movie for bizarre behavior

Gary Busey, 66, has been fired from his latest movie, the indie horror Mansion of Blood, after co-workers complained about his behavior on-set, according to a report from TMZ. The production began filming just over a month ago and Gary, who had already completed half of his scenes, was apparently “difficult to work with.” When a woman complained that he’d made inappropriate comments, producers decided to let him go. Despite the obvious cost involved with re-shoots, the script was rewritten and another actor was hired to take over in Busey’s place. Although Busey’s rep confirms the actor is no longer attached to Mansion of Blood, he denies that his client was fired. He told TMZ: “The situation was plagued by contractual issues and misunderstandings from the outset. Gary considers this episode concluded and has no further comment on the matter.”

I guess his behavior on Celebrity Apprentice wasn’t an act, he really is a weirdo. He keeps blaming his head injury from a motocycly accident but his drug addiction probably got him over the edge. He shouldn’t be acting anymore.

The guy has had a serious traumatic brain injury, no wonder his behaviour has changed. The guy needs long term treatment and rehabilitation.

Viewers of this season’s Apprentice got a first hand look at the inappropriate behavior of this man and whether it was due to a head injury or drug abuse, the man needs help and until such time as he receives whatever appropriate treatment may be required, he shouldn’t be subjecting the public to his antics.

He’s still better than Meat Loaf – remember this scene from Celebrity Apprentice:

Meat Loaf (@Gary Busey): You @#$@$##%!!! You STOLE my @#$#@%^ art supplies!!! Don’t @%#@% with me!!! I’ll @#%$@#!#% destroy you!!! #$%#%!#%#^^$@%#&&*#@&@*&!!!!!

Jon Rich: Meat Loaf, are these your art supplies over here?

Meat Loaf: Um…yes, yes they are…

It seems like Gary’s elevator doesn’t go to the top anymore, for whatever reason. Please won’t someone get him some help, like maybe his manager, or some rep who makes a percentage of $$ from him. Doesn’t he have any family or friends? this is often the case.

Reggie is right….he should have received long-term treatment for his almost life-ending head injury.

In most cases with brain injuries most audiences do not understand the behaviour of the individual in the first place. Just saying that he has no friends or family means you began to diagnose him with schizophrenia. It is best to say not all of the people you meet are of normal everyday folk.

I liked him in a few movies like Point Break. But yeah, he is off his rocker. Whatever the reason is, it’s pretty much public knowledge so to hire him in the first place you should know what you are getting yourself into. Duh.

I’ll go with the fact that he got fired because of his behaviors. Haven’t we seen this before? Too bad for the indie film though, they had to spend more because they know less.

If you wanna see him @ his best, watch the movie where he not only plays but sings Buddy Holly’s life story…it’s a 70’s movie (which I have a hard time watching now that we’ve been spoiled with modern tech) but it’s so well done & it shone him in a different light for me since.Sad about the accident, sadder he became an addict due to that injury but if you watch this movie you’ll have a greater respect for him as an actor.

Well, people do not seem to grasp that the man is lucky to still be alive. Not that it should make it alright, but he is addict, I am not sure that he still in NA,AA, CA, but he for damn sure has got a fair amount brain damage. but, as I said, he does not have the right to speak to women, man, or a child. He needs help.

I met him on his birthday years ago in Toronto at a hotel rooftop patio bar and he was really sweet, humble and friendly. Though I am NOT a fan, I feel sorry for him
