Gene Simmons and Shannon Tweed set a wedding date

After 28 years together, Gene Simmons, 61, and Shannon Tweed, 54, have finally set a date for their wedding. They’ll be married October 1st at the Beverly Hills Hilton, just three days before the seventh season premiere of A&E’s Gene Simmons Family Jewels. Simmons proposed to Tweed on a beach in Belize last July. They’ve been living together for 25 years and have two children, Nick, 22, and Sophie, 19, both of whom appear in the family’s reality series and who sent out the invitations.

    Publicity stunt for the show.

actually i dont think its a publicity stunt. I think she gave him a choice. 28 years on no marriage…That is a dream of many women so maybe she wanted that next level of commitment.

Im a relative of Shannon’s. Shes a distant cousin of mine. I have met her only a few times (5). The most recent time was last year in Newfoundland for a family reunion. I also met Gene and the kids too. Im very happy for them. My parents were invited to the wedding and they are excited to go. So no its not a publicity stunt at all. Its the real deal.

At this point, why would it make that much of a difference for her? He’s gonna be the same guy he’s always been.

Betray a women, bring her a dozen roses and all is forgiven.

That’s a very misogynistic comment, Germain. When my fiance cheated on me, I immediately dumped him. Several years later I found a decent guy who I don’t think would ever cheat. But if he did, he’d be history too. Not all women are accepting of being betrayed when handed a bunch of flowers. In fact, I’d wager very few and those who do, are probably thinking of their children.

right on Deb….I dumped my ex’s sorry ass years ago for same

I agree some stay for the kids, others for their “own” reasons, to each his own

    it’s a sorry man who thinks roses spell…………. f-o-r-g-i-v-e-n…
