George Clooney and wife Amal expecting twins

George Clooney
is steeping into his best role yet: dad.
Clooney will be father to not one, but two little pranksters. The Talk‘s Julie Chen confirmed the news that Amal is pregnant with twins and reportedly due in June.
A source told PEOPLE that Amal “has let everyone in both families know quietly” and that “they’re all very happy.”
The couple (seen at left walking their hound dog) tied the knot in 2014 in Venice amidst family and celebrity friends, including Matt Damon, Bill Murray and Cindy Crawford.
Amal, an international human rights lawyer, 39, and the Oscar-winning Clooney, 55, keep a work-life balance to spend time with each other.
A source told PEOPLE last year, “Between all their important work, they always stay focused on keeping their marriage happy and healthy. They are very keen on not spending too much time apart.”
This congratulatory news comes days after Beyoncé announced her twin pregnancy on Instagram.
