George Clooney headed back to ER

George ClooneyEvery so often rumors emerge claiming that George Clooney will finally reprise his role on ER. When asked last March if he would make a guest appearance on the show, Clooney denied it. However, it looks like this time it’s a go — People is confirming the news, adding that ER co-creator John Wells has ordered a closed set to keep Clooney’s appearance under wraps. Clooney, who played Dr. Doug Ross, was last seen on ER in a 2000 cameo in a remote lake scene with Juliana Marguilies, after leaving the show in 1999. ER has made stars of many actors, but Clooney is obviously the most famous alum ever and Wells has been hoping  for a long time to have him return for the show’s last season. NBC executives announced last week that the season will be extended for an extra four episodes.

I am looking forward to seeing him on ER again. I love the show and it has been great to see appearances by many of the shows old characters.

Man this dude is getting wrinkly and will be left a single old man when he kicks the bucket. He’s a lousy actor and seems to have a pretty boring life. I say bring him back as an ex-crack addict or drunken slob or maybe have him stricken with some strange incurable disease that even the ER (show) Team can’t diagnose or fix, then kill him off in this final appearance; would be nice if we never have to hear him confirm or deny of yet another cameo every 8 years. ER’s tired and dull, time to take it off the air and Looney rising from the ashes won’t make it any better will it????? The picture says it all, George turns and sees that he went so fast in life he didn’t let his career catch up with him and now there’s nuttin’ to say about the shrivelled up old dude but Yo Mama!

whoever wrote the last response is an idiot. Let’s see the pretty boring life george lives… he has millions of dollars, houses all over the world, known as one of the best looking guys in the world, has his pick of any girl in the world, is one of the most powerful men in hollywood, is clearly intelligent, can buy anything he wants….ya his life sucks

  4. Nancy • January 23, 2009 @ 5:44 PM

Yeah, I bet it really sucks! I don’t know what Yo Mama’s definition of “single old man” is but…have you ever seen Hef? He could live to be 120 and as long as he is filthy rich he will have arm candy under 30!!

  5. Not BRAD PITT Thank God! • January 23, 2009 @ 10:02 PM

I’m sure many would disagree with Nancy about Hef. Although some would classify another’s spouse as say, average, it really is all in the eyes of the holder so Hef’s Bimbos are either too dumb to realize he uses women in the way he’s always done, or they are just sleazing their way through it to get ahead. Imagine how shallow a person must be to be on one arm of the guy and another is on the other one and hopefully each doesn’t assume they are exclusive???? Hef isn’t a stud, he just has money and the allure of the Playboy Mag Scenario is what the bimbos are attracted to. That really isn’t love or classy yet of course he’ll keep attracting more of the same according to Nancy? Clooney could be happy with his situation but he’s really just an average looking individual and definitely not well rounded if he can’t actually commit to a relationship like most normal people do. And just because we haven’t heard a whole lot of controversy about the guy, doesn’t mean he doesn’t have skeletons in his closet either. aafa, you don’t really believe he could have the pick of any woman in the world do you? Imagine how by just that comment alone you have spoken for “any woman of the world” and I’m sure millions would disagree with you because after all, it truly is in the eyes of the beholder. Your opinion is yours and so is Yo Mama’s and now mine, Clooney is average and just because someone has money-alot (as do I) doesn’t make them a catch. I’m not bragging either with my next comment but I’m actually better looking than Old George-have been told this, there are millions of others better looking than him too (and me too), millions have settled down and committed to a relationship and are happy with their life. George’s is shallow and how do you really know he has that much enjoyment out of his life when you only read what is printed about the guy. He’s a terrible actor and there are also thousands of other male actors who have more talent than him, yes, even those who “apparently aren’t as good looking as Clooney” Hef is a wrinkled old guy who degrades women, always has and the women who frequent his mansion are just looking to get ahead by using the old guy and his power. Have to wonder if a person feels special when used or taken for a ride or they really do understand that they have so few good qualities if that’s the only way they can attract someone for a temporary relationship? George has those too, many of us had those same types when we were younger and “sowing our oats” so to speak, later we grew up and worked on a more important and solid life. A P.S. about money too, many of us (me included) own companies and employ hundreds, we treat them very well and they prove their loyalty by staying on our team. We are truly loved by many others and it shows. The allure of George is what, Nancy’s fantasies about him. Go fo it Nance, take Hef too, hopefully you’ll be happy but guess what, you’d be another notch on the headboard to them so how classy a guy are either of them?

Not think Hef and Clooney give a sh!t why these women want to be with them?
They’re having the times of their life with their money and a bevy of beauties. Yea, how boring.
They’re ALL using each other, and it’s all consentual. Nothing wrong with that.

All I said was that George (whom I think is very handsome), will not be a “single, old man” forever unless he chooses to be. I never said anything about ‘love’ or about George or Hef being “classy”. I’m sure George is happy with his life thus far and Hef seems like a kid in a candy store. They may die lonely but not single per say. And no thanks, like I said, George is a handsome man but I’m not into all that fame for ANY amount of money!!

  8. rippy • January 24, 2009 @ 1:08 AM

Wow Yo Mama…jealous much? You WISH you could live that life and look as good at that age.

But hey, you’re the ‘big man’ in cyberspace!! Way cooler than the Clooney’s of the world I bet. NOT!

  9. Vicki • January 24, 2009 @ 5:13 PM

George Clooney is “just an average looking individual”?!!! Man, if that’s true, most of the world is REALLY ugly!!!

    Just kidding:)

In my humble opinion, George is actually the BEST looking individual alive (apologies to my husband, whom I adore and also find extremely handsome). Brad Pitt would also be in my top five, despite the “not Brad Pitt Thank God” moniker. Holy crow, if George and Brad aren’t good looking, who IS?

  10. Nancy • January 24, 2009 @ 6:19 PM

Mmmm…I can think of a few more…Vin Diesel; Matthew McConaughey; Paul Walker…just a few. 😛

  11. Vicki • January 24, 2009 @ 7:12 PM

    Matt McConaughey for SURE!
I forget his name, but what about the prince on “Enchanted”? (He was in “27 Dresses” too.)

  12. Nancy • January 24, 2009 @ 7:42 PM

Oh, you mean McDreamy from Grey’s Anatomy. I’m more partial to McSteamy.

  13. Nancy • January 24, 2009 @ 7:45 PM

Being Mark Sloan. Some nice pics come up if you just Google Mcsteamy. 🙂

  14. Vicki • January 24, 2009 @ 8:34 PM

No, not McDreamy (and I like McSteamy WAY better, so I will check that Google tip out right away). I mean the young guy who came from the same cartoon land as the girl. I have a useless memory and it’s so frustrating! But the guy is SUPER handsome…

  15. tributegirl • January 24, 2009 @ 9:00 PM

Oh, Nancy! I’m sorry, but I do have to disagree with you on one thing! Vin Diesel! Ug!

  16. Nancy • January 24, 2009 @ 10:13 PM

    Oh, James Marsden?

Tributegirl: That’s ok. I think he’s quite a hunk though.

  17. Vicki • January 24, 2009 @ 11:22 PM

That’s him! Weird, I’m watching XMen 3 right now and he’s in it (coincidence or what??), only half his face is covered. What a waste!

  18. Nancy • January 25, 2009 @ 3:33 PM

Hey, we were watching XMen 3 at the same time! Pretty good movie.

  19. Anonymous • January 25, 2009 @ 4:02 PM

Yeah, I enjoyed it again (second time I’ve seen it). Can’t wait for the movie Wolverine, since he’s been my favourite character all along. I think Hugh is pretty hot but I’m not sure about “Sexiest Man Alive”…

  20. Vicki • January 25, 2009 @ 4:03 PM

Oops, forgot my name — that “Wolverine” comment was mine.
