George Clooney ordered to court

A judge has ordered George Clooney to appear in Milan for a trial set to begin on July 16. The actor will testify against three people accused of using his name to promote a fashion show and a line of clothing. They’ve been charged with forgery, fraud and possession of stolen goods. The judge in the case, Pietro Caccialanza, has requested special security from local police to protect the Hollywood star from the large number of fans who may attend the hearing. “There will be a lot of people, I imagine,” Caccialanza told telegraph.co.uk, although he says he wants to give Clooney’s fans a chance “to get close to their hero.”

well, i hope he gets justice for the crimes that these people committed while using his name. also, why would they have to “order” him to appear? would he really not want to see these people get what they deserve?

If the judge wants special security, why does he also want fans to get a chance to get close to him? It sounds like it’s going to be a zoo. I feel sorry for him. A trial isn’t a fan event.
