George Clooney to sue for underage photos

george_clooney_elisabettaGeorge Clooney, 48, is planning to sue a paparazzi photographer after he climbed the wall of the actor’s Italian home and took photos of a 13-year-old girl who was changing in a bedroom. “We’re suing two magazines AND a photographer. I don’t know about the law in the United States, but in Italy it’s illegal for photographers to climb over my wall and to take long-lens pictures of a 13-year-old girl in her bedroom,” Clooney said in a statement. “I draw the line of privacy at that.” The photographer also took pictures of Clooney and his 30-year-old girlfriend, Italian model Elisabetta Canalis. Clooney is also suing the two magazines that published the photos. The question is, who’s the 13-year-old that has her own bedroom in Clooney’s house?

good! good for george. i am glad that he is willing to sue, it should almost be considered child pornography because now you cant even send pictures of YOURSELF to others or have pictures of yourself (if youre under the legal age) on your computer missing any articles of clothing or it will be construed as child pornography and they charge everyone they can. i think its sick that the pap is willing to go to this extent. also, good question, i wonder why she would have her own room in his house? maybe its his girlfriends daughter?

Maybe clooney has a secret daught that he has been able to keep out of the spot light. Who knows the man who says he dosen’t want kids, may just have one. Maybe that photogrpher just got an even biger story. But not in the nicest way. Like come on taking a picture of a thirteen year old girl changing. That is just sick and wrong, like come on think a little.

I agree that the photographer shouldn’t have climbed the wall or taken photos of anyone especially while they are changing but obviously no one involved (the pap. or the 2 magazine editors) could tell that she was only 13 or they wouldn’t have put themselves in this position. Also, don’t people usually close the blinds or curtains when they change? I know I do. I mean, the gardener, the pool guy, a friend or even George himself could have been going past the window while she was changing. Still though, I think George is doing the right thing by suing those involved in producing and publishing the photo. These paparazzi need to be hit with some boundaries by the law as far as I am concerned.

good points. i agree, the probably couldnt tell she was only 13. what i was thinking though is 13 year olds probably dont consider that someone can see them. also, if shes the daughter of his girlfriend, she wouldnt think he would watch her. also, with a big wall going around your property, there shouldnt be any reason to be afraid of who can see into your bedroom, because NO ONE should be able to.

This is pretty sick. Whether she’s 13 or 33, no one should be climbing up to her bedroom window to take pictures of her! What a disgusting invasion of a persons privacy! And her age just makes it all the more disturbing.

    Tribute Girl,

I agree totally!! The age should NOT matter and I’m glad that it is illegal there, wish it was in the U.S. and everywhere else!! It is a TOTAL violation of this poor young girls privacy and I’m glad George is not afraid to take them to court, it has never stopped him before when he thought he was being misrepresented by the paparazzi, so good for him!! DISTURBING is the BEST word to describe it, you said it well!!

    Everyones posts are right on!!

WOW!!! I’m glad he is doing that. No one has the right to be a peeping tom (aka – PERVERT). That girl must’ve been so scared. I hope she is okay.

I agree Carol, VERY DISTURBING AND PERVERTED, so I’m very happy George is suing!!
