George Michael arrested again

george_michaelGeorge Michael was arrested Saturday morning at about 1 a.m. after crashing his Land Rover, according to the BBC. Michael had just completed a two-year driving ban when he crashed his car into a seven-ton truck in London. The ban stemmed from a 2007 arrest when the singer was found to be driving while under the influence of a variety of drugs. Michael was released from custody on Saturday without being charged.  After the accident, the truck driver, Laurie Rowe, told the British newspaper Daily Mirror: “Michael seemed completely disoriented, like he had no idea what was going on. He looked totally dazed and even tried to climb into the cab of my [truck].” Rowe says he was amazed that Michael was able to walk away from the accident: “When I…got out to see what had happened, I didn’t think he would have survived.” Michael has since released a statement saying he was “stone cold sober” at the time of the accident.

oh he sure SOUNDS “stone cold sober” doesnt he? i wonder why no charges were laid? this is getting to be ridiculous! didnt he think that 2 years of not driving was a pretty terrible thing? well, i guess when youre rich you can afford to have a chauffeur. but like, come on.

  2. Nancy • August 17, 2009 @ 5:39 PM

I can’t understand why he wasn’t charged either, mandee. It wasn’t reported in this article but I read that the other driver and witnesses said that George Michael was going at least 100 mph! That’s just ridiculous! And, as I stated before on a Michael Jackson article, addicts don’t “quit” the stuff in order to do certain things. As long as they have enough cash to buy the product, they are stoned constantly…while in the care of innocent children, while driving, etc.

  3. mandee • August 17, 2009 @ 8:35 PM

you just figure after soo many times of this crap theyd finally realize this guy is a hazard to other people and revoke his license. im so tired of stars always getting away with everything just because they are famous.

  4. moondog • August 17, 2009 @ 8:54 PM

hey idjit it doesnt say he didnt drive for 2 years, just that he was banned for 2 years. ppl like that usually still drive anyway, he didnt learn nothin.

  5. Shauna • August 17, 2009 @ 10:08 PM

he looks rough here. should have his license taken for ever. i agree with you’re last line moondog but not about the idjit part thats mean

  6. tributegirl • August 17, 2009 @ 10:26 PM

I also agree with you all (except the idjit part!). My bro in law hasn’t had a license in years, yet still drives all the time, usually under the influence. I keep hoping they will catch him, but calling them & telling them where he is and what he’s driving doesn’t seem to help, they seem to want to catch people themselves. It’s very frustrating, because I’d love to see him get caught.

  7. mandee • August 17, 2009 @ 11:06 PM

they should install in EVERY CAR OR TRUCK MADE one of those breathalyzers where you have to blow in it and if you have over the legal amount the car wont start.

  8. tributegirl • August 17, 2009 @ 11:17 PM

I agree, but knowing people like my bro in law, he’d find someone to blow into it for him.

  9. mandee • August 18, 2009 @ 3:43 PM

thats true, i didnt really think anyone would be stupid enough to blow into it so that someone could drive drunk.

  10. tributegirl • August 18, 2009 @ 6:00 PM

Oh yeah, there definitely are people that stupid, his friends would definitely do that for him, and he would do it for them if they had been drinking and he hadn’t.

  11. Nancy • August 18, 2009 @ 6:39 PM

Even still, that would only prevent some from driving while drunk, what about the dope heads? LOL.

  12. mandee • August 18, 2009 @ 10:28 PM

ive never done any type of drugs so i dont personally know how dope effects ones judgment. thats why i didnt include it 😛

  13. April • August 19, 2009 @ 2:42 AM

This guy keep sinking lower and lower, if it’s not for “showing his private parts”, it’s “drunk driving”!! How long will it take before he kills someone, then will they take his license away FINALLY, after a family has to suffer a loss of a child or spouse??? I guess time will tell!

    Tribute girl,

Good for you to call the cops when you know he’s driving drunk as you’re only trying to get him some help, and off the road to avoid him killing someone, but it’s sickening that they won’t do anything about it, you must feel SO helpless?

  14. tributegirl • August 19, 2009 @ 3:58 PM

Ug, April, that’s the thing, I HAVE called, they don’t take info like that and go look for the person, because apparently they figure people would be calling & saying things about everyone they don’t like, (and it’s not that I don’t “like” him, when he’s sober he’s a very personable guy), and they’d be out there looking for all kinds of people, a lot of whom would be totally innocent. I just want to get him the h*ll off the roads. I can tell you one thing, if he ever injured or killed any of my children, I’d be the one they’d be arresting. I’ll let your imagination take over from here.

  15. Carol • August 19, 2009 @ 8:42 PM

Mandee, I watched “Intervention” a few months back, a girl had that in her car and her boyfriend blew into it for her. I agree, the idea is very good, but there are still drawbacks. It’ll take time to get a fix for that stuff, but at least they are making the move and there will be some people that will be off the streets from it.

  16. April • August 20, 2009 @ 2:48 AM

    Tribute Girl,

It did, and I can imagine exactly what you would do!!

  17. mandee • August 20, 2009 @ 7:55 AM

carol, i wonder if they were charged because it was on tv so they wouldnt need proof?

  18. Carol • August 20, 2009 @ 6:48 PM

nope, because they show them smoking up and everything on this show. It is a sad show, but sometimes with good outcomes, but it really brings to light that it’s not anything to do with class or status, diseases, whether it is drugs, eating disorders, drinking, etc., it can happen to everyone.

  19. Nancy • August 20, 2009 @ 7:21 PM

Carol: I watch ‘Intervention’ once in a while although I never saw that particular episode. It is a pretty good show though.

  20. April • August 21, 2009 @ 9:40 PM

    Carol,

Just curious, but have you ever seen the show “The Cleaner” with Benjamin Bratt (on A & E)? It is based on a true story of a guy with the same name as Benjamin’s on the show and they did a bio on him last week after the 10:00 p.m. show (as they usually show it again at 11:00 p.m. and I saw the whole thing.) Nice to know that some people CAN overcome SUCH diversity and come out better people by giving back to others for NO cash, (if people cannot afford his help, he would not ask for any cash at all and help the addicts for free!!) Sure would be nice if all addicts did the same, don’t you think the world be a better place to live in?

  21. Nancy • August 21, 2009 @ 11:56 PM

The Cleaner is one of my favourite shows. I’ve watched it faithfully every Tuesday night for two seasons.

  22. Nancy • August 21, 2009 @ 11:58 PM

Oh, and Hell’s Kitchen is also part of my Tuesday night line-up. 😀

  23. April • August 22, 2009 @ 3:39 AM

OMG, me too, never miss either and also watched every season of Hell’s Kichen as well!!

  24. Nancy • August 22, 2009 @ 4:02 PM

Me too. Love Chef Ramsey. He is so nice when it’s not business but when it comes to working in the kitchen, he’s so funny the way he talks to them, ie: “Piss off, fatboy!” HILARIOUS!!!!!!!!! 😛

  25. April • August 23, 2009 @ 1:18 AM

LOL, SO TRUE!! He’s has the most FILTHY mouth on TV (and a lot of peole don’t watch the show because of it, even thought they BLEEP it out, but when he goes with them on their rewards, he’s a funny (excuse the term, but it’s one he says often, “bastard”,) and yet when someone wants to talk to him, i.e. when Robert said the reason he would not answer him when he called him “Bobby” was due to his Dad and he explained why, Chef Ramsay was very kind!! And his sense of humour always has me laughing (I would put in a laughing face, but never download smileys, sorry, LOL!!)

Do you think Robert will return to the kitchen? Personally I think that Chef Ramsay should not have taken him back as it looked to me like he had gained even MORE weight, don’t you think and this would make it even more dangerous for his health and I would think after his health scare last year, he would have come back leaner than he was (unless he has some weird death wish or doesn’t give a damn about his health?) I thought he said last year had he MIGHT have to have some surgery on his heart? I wonder if it ever happened?

  26. moondog • August 23, 2009 @ 10:57 AM

idjit u dont have to download them to put them on here

    8)

  27. Nancy • August 23, 2009 @ 5:36 PM

I also thought Robert would consider his health alot more and try his best to lose some of his excess weight since last season but, he looks to be at least the same size. And then last week for the healthy menu (700 calorie meal or less), he said “I take 700 calorie bites”…WTF? No wonder he has heart problems when he saturates everything in butter, etc.! He sure has some anger issues as well, doesn’t he? Did you see him smash that broom? LOL. That much anger and stress is not good for his heart either. I hope he doesn’t come back, he doesn’t have what it takes anyways. When he returned this season, his wife was with him for the visit and she is big as well. They should work together to better their health…especially when there has been a scare, such as diagnosed heart problems! Anyways, I love that show and giggle quite frequently to the foul mouth of Chef Ramsey. Oh, and I didn’t really like that Telile (or however she spelled it). I called her Whoopie. She reminded me of a Whoopie Goldberg from the hood, haha.

  28. April • August 23, 2009 @ 6:50 PM

LMAO, me too, how funny, a true Whoopie look alike!! Nice when we can laugh eh Nancy? I like this a lot better!!

  29. April • August 23, 2009 @ 6:52 PM

    BTW moondog,

If you can’t spell it, leave me alone, I have better things to do besides figurung out smiley faces, so should you, it’s spelt DICTIONARY!! It’s that all you have in your arsenal of words? IDJIT????? WTH is that?

  30. Nancy • August 23, 2009 @ 7:11 PM

I do too, April…truly I do, but if you do, then why did you come on in July and jump on me when I hadn’t even said anything and when I just give my opinions without bashing other commenters? I never said anything bad to or about you until you jumped on me for giving my opinion on the articles.

  31. Carol • August 23, 2009 @ 8:52 PM

April, I have watched that a couple times, the Cleaner, and I love Benjamin Bratt. A good friend of mine had told me about it. It is pretty good and it is great to see people overcome and help others. The thing is, I don’t watch a lot of regular things, so it’s hit and miss with me, except I do watch Intervention every Monday. And I think when Gossip Girl starts up, I will be watching that with my daughter.

  32. Carol • August 23, 2009 @ 8:53 PM

And, btw, doesn’t he look terrible in this pic. I remember when Wham started out, he was a hottie, that’s for sure, but now he looks sleezy. I mean, I know he is getting older, but YUCK!

  33. April • August 24, 2009 @ 2:28 AM

    Nancy,

Fair enough, but I will explain why. Because I was posting as “anonymous” sometimes and most times when I gave an opinion, you would answer back with some mean remark, so I stopped posting for awhile but kept reading and saw how you kept going at Jo-Anne and I felt bad for her, so that is why I said what I did!! There, it is out on the table now and all I can say is I only commented on what I had read from your comments to me and then to Jo-Anne (even though you didn’t know it was me back then.) Just like you comment on some people’s posts that you think are stupid or wrong etc., right?

  34. tributegirl • August 24, 2009 @ 9:45 AM

April, that was very big of you to explain honestly about that. I was very confused about why that happened as well, and really appreciate the honesty.

  35. Nancy • August 24, 2009 @ 2:14 PM

Okay April, I would like us to try being nice and civil with each other but I will let it be known right now that I will not put up with being lied about. I think you should prove that I made mean remarks to you about your opinion because I know right now that that is absolutely NOT true. You see, I don’t jump on people for their opinions. I don’t jump on them unless they have said something rude to me first…and the majority of people on this site would vouch for me on that! As for me keeping “going at Jo-Anne”…no more than she did/does to me…so….your point? For the record too….I NEVER think that anyone’s comments are stupid or wrong…NEVER. And I also don’t pick on others grammar and spelling.

  36. Nancy • August 24, 2009 @ 2:16 PM

You said back in July on the MJ article, that your reason was because my comments are “always negative”. So, what is truth?

  37. April • August 24, 2009 @ 2:29 PM

    Thanks tribute girl,

Just do not want to have so much HATRED with people as that is not the type of person I am at all (and I think you know that by now as you and I seem to have buried the hatchet (if there ever was a hatchet to bury, LOL) quite awhile ago) so I’m hoping to try and fix things, and if people do not want to, then at least I tried!!

  38. April • August 24, 2009 @ 2:38 PM

    Nancy,

I tried to explain to you why I said what I did on my 2:28 a.m. post. I do not now what else I can say as when I was posting under “anonymous” you would always come back and say something I found to be mean or negative, and as you said, we are allowed our own opinions, so whether or not I like what you say, or likewise, I just want to be able to agreee to disagree without being NASTY about it, and I think we can do that. Like Jo-Anne and I do disagree, but we do not get mad at each other, we laugh about it, same as you and Mandee, you agree to disagree and still remain cordial. I do not expect you to change your ways with Jo-anne BUT I may say what I feel about a subject, but will try not to get in between your disagreements unless I feel it’s warranted, just as I would imagine you would do the same to me if you felt a certain way. I just want to stop the insults etc. as it’s not fun and we have a better time laughing about stuff like “Hell’s Kitchen” etc., so why not laugh rather than fight, right?

  39. Nancy • August 24, 2009 @ 5:31 PM

I agree with you but if I was mean to anyone, you can be guaranteed that they had it coming because I have been the one on this site who has been b!tching to everyone else to let people have their opinions and that pot shots shouldn’t be taken at each other. I have proven time and time again that I don’t consider myself better than anyone else or them better than me…and that goes for opinions (as there is no right or wrong), spelling, grammar, gender…except, I do like to bug Jo-WAnne about being old, hahaha. Hey, like you said to Gypsy, we all got to have our habits, right? LOL. Anyways, tomorrow is Hell’s Kitchen and The Cleaner! Do you ever watch Big Brother? Oh, and although I don’t back down, I actually don’t like to fight. I am a very laughable person, that is why my comments always have haha, LOL, LMAO, LMFAO, ROFLMFAO, or smileys.

  40. April • August 25, 2009 @ 2:58 AM

THIS IS GETTING SICK AND TWISTED, LMAO,

You and I ar REALITY junkies!! Big Brother, you bet your butt I do and have never missed a season!! I love the UFC (ultimate fighting) so I have a soft spot for Russell and hope he wins or the other cutie (brain fart, forgot his name but he won HOH and likes the blonde) who Kevin lied to about Russell wanting him out and the guy believed Kevin, stupid, you’d of thought he’d think that that side (only 3 of them at the time as Lydia is BYE BYE,) that he would have known that anyone would say anything to stir up the pot and he still believes it and I think he’ll back door him, HOPE NOT!!

  41. Nancy • August 25, 2009 @ 9:09 PM

Thanks Carol! Man, you need another raise! Hahaha. Remember the Hayden Panettiere article, where she freaked because a photographer “touched” her shoulder and I was the first to comment on it saying “One word…DIVA!”? I never said anything to anyone but holy heck, the leeches sure jumped on me there! Good thing I have lots of blood in me, hahaha!

April: I have watched every season of BB as well. Loved every one of them! I didn’t like Russell at first but then after he broke his ties with the meat head Jessie, I saw a nicer side of him. I’ve liked Jeff and Jordan right from the very beginning. Yes, Jeff is a hottie! Jordan is a little….uh…slow, but she’s really nice, she’d make a great friend. I do not like Nathalie, despised Lydia. Kevin is funny but I would never trust him…or Michelle, LOL. I hope Jeff or Jordan wins, and I hope he takes her on his trip to Hawaii!!

  42. Carol • August 25, 2009 @ 9:26 PM

yeah, I do need some funds…where is my paycheck anyway Nance? I thought it was in the mail…lol…how am I going to pay for my trip to MEXICO!!!!!!!!
You heard right…this March, just me and my daughter…YAY!!! She is PUMPED! It is a family resort, and I”m so hoping it’ll be a mild winter so nothing holds us back.
So, yes, send money, give a raise…lol

  43. April • August 26, 2009 @ 2:29 AM

    Carol,

As far as I’m concerned, you and I have never had a problem, but I just responded to you on another blog as you were blasting Jo-Anne and mentioned me in there, like you were mad at me as well, and I was just curious as to why as we always have seemed to agree on the blogs (and when we don’t, we’ve never bashed one another, right?) As far as Nancy is concerned, we talked it out, and have agreed to disagree with being NICE to each other, which we BOTH prefer and we seem to have a few things in common as well, who’d have thought, LOL!! As far as Jo-Anne is concerned, there we will disagree but I hope that you will only like or dislike me for what I post or said to you and not hold the fact that Jo-Anne is my BF on here as she has always had my back and been very compassionate to me when no one else was, and I cannot simply forget that nor do I want to, as we do get along, and if anyone wants to hate me for that, it’s not my problem. I’m NOT going to dump my BF on here simply because others may not like her, just like I would never ask you to do the same about Nancy, right? I’m just glad that Mandee and I buried the hatchet and Nancy and I have also agreed to talk to each other nicely as we do seem to laugh about the same things and I’ve never been a SH@T distuber, until I came on here, and it is not in my personality, so that is why I talked to both of them and we came to an understanding!! I like it much better this way and I’m sure the other people will as well (and if they don’t, it’s not my problem anymore)!!

  44. April • August 26, 2009 @ 2:36 AM

    Nancy,

I totally agree with you about Russell (at the beginning a HOTHEAD,) but he knew he had to control his temper (and does he have one alright, LOL), but I want either him or Jeff to win and I hope that Jeff and Jordan continue their romance out of the house (as her Mom thinks they’d make cute babies, LOL!!) OMG, I forgot to tape BB tonight as I was watching and taping So You Think you Can Dance Canada on VHS LIVE, so I forgot to tape it on my other machine (as I taped Hell’s Kitchen) which I’m going to watch right after this!! Since Rogers on Demand is a few episodes behind, can you tell me in a nutshell what happened tonight PLEASE as I’d like to know before Thursday’s show? Thanks Nancy!!

P.S. Also DO NOT WANT NATHALIE TO WIN EITHER, and would like to see her NEXT to go then Michelle as well!!

  45. Nancy • August 26, 2009 @ 9:34 AM

Okay, Jeff and Jordan kind of fought a little bit. He asked her to give him input on what to do, who to try to get out, for her to help him and for her to try harder in competitions. He wants her to stand up and take some responsibility instead of him doing all the dirty work and looking like the bad guy. Very understandable. Anyways, Jeff won the POV and used it on Kevin and put Russell on the block instead. He wants Russell out. When it ended, it showed Russell in the bedroom that looks like a pool, alone, standing there with VERY evil eyes! I can’t wait until Thursday!

  46. Nancy • August 26, 2009 @ 9:43 AM

Carol: I guess she is pumped!! Must be nice!

  47. April • August 26, 2009 @ 5:25 PM

    Hi Nancy,

After what you wrote, I had to watch it and since I’d have to wait until ??? to watch it ONDEMAND, I decided to watch it online (which I hate as sitting is the most painful position for me due to my lower back surgeries) and they did it in only 41 minutes (no commercials excpets for maybe 3 one minute ones!!) NICE!! You sure did describe it to a TEE!! Good one Nance!! I felt SUPER bad for Russell as I do not see HOW he can stay in the house as Michele said she would have to keep herself good with the rest of the house, so she’ll have to vote for Russell if she wants to TRY and save herself for another week, right? And Jordan and Kevin will also vote for him, so I hate to say this but ADIOS RUSSELL!! (crying sad face here!!) Oh well, Jeff will watch it back and realize what a jerk he was, especially if NATALIE wins it, then he’s OUT!! I hope Jeff can eat crow, because after he sees the whole show, he’ll be mad at himself for not believing Russell and then hearing that Natalie was going to go back on her word if she wins POV and put him up!! BIG MISTAKE FOR BELIEVING KEVIN!!

WOW, I also watched Hell’s Kicthen that I taped last night and WOW, surprised ending or what? And I know you are glad about him leaving as I was too, he was pretty volatile this year (smashing things around etc.) I wonder why this year more than last? I hope that the guy with the cast wins as he is doing awesome for a one handed cook and also I like the cutie (don’t you think so?) bald headed guy, Kevin I believe, who had 2 bad feet, one sprained and the other twisted, (those poor guys can’t catch a break,) he’s always GREAT in the kitchen and Chef Ramsay seems to like him a lot!! Van (??) is also good but hot and quick tempered and could also have a good shot at it!! Do not like the know it all in the girls kitchen….is it Suzanne? I think there are 2 firls that COULD win it and do not remember their names right now, but Tennille (a.k.a. Whoopi) has to go in my eyes, even though I must give her props, last night she was right about the garlic sauce tasting TOO garlicky (if that’s a word, LMAO!!) and because the girl did not listen, they lost, oh well, what can you do!! Any favorites for winners (on either side) for you?

  48. April • August 26, 2009 @ 5:29 PM

    P.S. Nancy,

Are you referring to me being pumped, LOL?? About what, the show or ???, seriously, TELL ME WOMAN, OR I’LL PULL YOUR HAIR OUT, LMAO!! Also, did you see that they deleted Carol’s post that I replied to her about as I went back to read what she had written again, and only see her part that came after you said you owed her for it, LOL, wonder why it’s gone and why she has yet to answer me?

  49. Nancy • August 27, 2009 @ 3:14 PM

April: No, I was talking about Carol’s daughter being pumped to go to Mexico, haha. As for Hell’s kitchen, I hope Dave wins (the one hand guy…OMG! That just doesn’t sound good! LOL). I find he seems to have alot of patience. He’s very quiet and doesn’t let things noticeably bother him. Van is a loose cannon! He is totally unpredictable. One minute he’s smiling and laughing and then something goes wrong and sets him off and he flips his lid! Makes for good tv but I wouldn’t want to work with him…have to have eyes in the back of your head, LMAO.

  50. April • August 28, 2009 @ 2:34 AM

You’re right, he is a loose cannon, but I also think that Kevin and Dave are the 2 most level headed and best chefs there, and both injured, too funny!!

I guess they did remove Carol’s previous post (the one I responded to the first time, I wonder why?)

  51. Jo-Anne • August 29, 2009 @ 6:07 PM

I think the criteria is listed under…”DBAN”…Don’t Be A Nancy…

  52. April • September 6, 2009 @ 2:31 AM

    Hey Jo,

Still throwing out your famous one liners I see, LOL!! Nice to finally see you (hear from you) again though!! How is everything? I wrote you a post on Michael Madsen’s blog on 8/29 at 3:52 a.m. and was wondering if you remember if it could have been me? It would have been SO random, but a small world, that’s for sure!! Do you remember if it was possible?

  53. Nancy • September 6, 2009 @ 6:53 PM

    “famous one liners”?

Her brain capacity is too small to come up with anything more that one line! LMFAO!!

  54. April • September 10, 2009 @ 5:10 PM

    Hey there LMFAO (Nancy),

What did you think of Hell’s this week? Sure looks like OUR guy will have to bow out after seeing previews of next weeks show and him burning his ONLY good hand, don’t you think? What a darn shame but at least Kevin is still there to win it in case he does have to go home, right?

So what do you think about NAT the BAT winning HOH, YUCH!! Who do you think will win (now that all the jury house knows she has been lying about her age, if Kevin was to be ousted, he said he’d would NOT believe anything out of Nat’s mouth anymore, so she’d lose his vote) and you never know, Jordan could walk away with this, wouldn’t that be a hoot!!

  55. Nancy • September 11, 2009 @ 7:18 PM

LOL. I still think Dave will win though. On BB, I “think” Kevin will win (only because he has more friends in the Jury house). I don’t want him to win though, I want Jordan to win. I couldn’t believe that she actually won last night! And Natalie thought that surely SHE would win…hahahaha, looks good on her that Jordan beat her! Now, I hope Jordan beats Kevin in the final part and “if” she does beat him, I hope she picks Natalie to be #2 because she can get the votes over Natalie BUT, I feel mean for saying this but, I don’t think Jordan is smart enough to figure that out! She’s a great person but she had to have been the one holding the door open for everyone else when God was handing out brains, LOL. Oh, and on HK – Ramsay is p!$$ing me off by keeping that Suzanne chick! Week after week after week…let her go already!!!!
