George Michael faces jail time

George Michael has pleaded guilty to possessing cannabis and driving under the influence. The singer arrived at court in London this morning to face the charges, which relate to his July 4th arrest when the 47-year-old lost control of his Range Rover and smashed into a photo shop. When police were called to the scene, they found him slumped over his steering wheel. He had two joints in his pocket and tested positive for chemicals linked to the drug in his system. George, whose real name is Georgios Panayiotou, pled guilty to both charges during the hearing. He’s been banned from driving for six months and is due back in court next month for sentencing. District Judge Robin McPhee told the singer that “all options, in respect of sentencing, remain open, including powers to imprison.”
