Germany bans Tom Cruise

Tom CruiseGermany will not allow Tom Cruise’s new movie Valkyrie to be filmed at its military bases because they object to his Scientology religion. Scientology is condemned by the German government as a “money-making cult.” Cruise is set to play Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg, who led an unsuccessful plot to assassinate Adolf Hitler in 1944. Kenneth Branagh, Patrick Wilson and Bill Nighy also star in the film, which is scheduled to begin filming July 19th.

Cruise is a freak! What he preaches is NOT a religion. It is a cult based on wealth and power. You certainly don’t see Scientologists recruiting everyday Joes like us, do you? And their stance on health and medical issues is ridiculous and potentially dangerous. I can’t understand why his wife hasn’t “run for the hills” to be rid of his controlling ways.

Scientology is not a science dumbass.

Actually, now that I have re-read my response about the “Church” of Scientology not being a true church because of its primary goals being the collection of wealth and power, and outdated medical beliefs, I feel that sounds too much like the Catholic Church. Maybe the Scientologists have a church afterall…

Hey “Raging Bullshit”. Who are you calling a ‘dumbass’? You wanker!

I am not a historian, however, dating back to the WWs, Germany has a tragic history and reputation of discrimination against people over race and religion. The family should be grateful that such an accomplished actor has decided to play the role of Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg regardless of Tom Cruise’s religion. From the sound of the Colonel’s bravery, the role should be played by the most famous and high powered actor in the business

He’s a good actor and had a lot of good flicks. I think they shouldn’t look at who he is but the movies he makes. He’s made really good movies – Last Samurai, mission impossible 2, top gun etc.. who he is doesn’t change the way he acts so let him star in the movie, i know i’ll see it.

If Tom is playing a Nazi Officer, then he has the experience, what with being such a nazi in the childbirth of his and Katie’s baby, with all of the demands on her and self promotion after the birth of the baby and tall of this scientology bullshit. I agree that this “religion” is all about money and power to the individuals, not the higher ups (like the pope, cause they don’t have one)
The only people that they have to further their beliefs to the public is Hollywood types, and we all know how hollow, self-absorbed, and devoid of morals they are.
    End of Story!

This isn’t going to make Oprah happy, not happy at all…

United Artists and Bryan Singer picked Tom Cruise to play this role; I guess they are in league with the Scientologists to take over Germany, eh? That sounds silly of course, but that is basically what we are hearing from some silly people. As Abraham Lincoln said (and I paraphrase)”It is better to be thought of as a fool, than to opens one mouth and remove all doubt”.

There are a lot of fools commenting on a non-issue. Religious bigotry has been around as long as people could talk. Scientology has been proven to be a religion over and over again all over the world…..get over it. Show me the harm they are doing….oh wait you heard something from someone else who read it on the internet? If you can’t make a decision on your own without being lead by the nose by our overly controlled medias, then you are a chump, and your opinion means little.

That may seem harsh, but for God’s sake, wake up

Hey, we Germans just don’t like our national hero to be played by this weirdo Tom Cruise. The ideas of Scientology are extremely strange. And their believe kind of sounds like facism. And we got enough of that bullshit.
