Golden Globe winners announced

Though several other networks showed the 32-minute press conference announcing the Golden Globe winners, NBC delivered a more entertaining hour-long program hosted by Billy Bush and Nancy O’Dell that included clips of the nominees. Johnny Depp won his first Golden Globe for his portrayal of Sweeney Todd in Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street; while the movie won for Best Comedy/Musical. Best drama went to Atonement; best actor in a drama was Daniel Day-Lewis for There Will Be Blood; and best actress went to Marion Cotillard for her portrayal of Edith Piaf in La Vie en Rose.
