Golden GlobesNBC has pulled the plug on “The 65th Annual Golden Globe Awards” telecast and champagne dinner due to the continuing writers’ strike. Actors have been asked by their union, the Screen Actors Guild, not to appear at the event. Instead, there will be a televised press conference to be covered live by NBC news this Sunday beginning at 6:00 p.m. PST to announce the winners, followed by a show featuring celebrities at the after parties. It’s not yet known whether the Academy Awards, scheduled for February 24th, will take place.

Get the police out in riot gear, use a flame thrower on the protesters. I want my fix of commercials with the occasional Golden Globe award being being thrown in.
