Green Hornet star violates restraining order

By Alexandra Heilbron on January 13, 2011 | 15 Comments

The Green Hornet star Edward Furlong, 33, was jailed after he violated a domestic restraining order which maintains that he must stay 100 yards away from his wife, Rachael Bella and their four-year-old son, Ethan. Rachael obtained the temporary restraining order last August after he left voicemails calling her names and threatening to harm to her boyfriend, as well as one in which he threatened to commit suicide. During a hearing this week, the Los Angeles City Attorney told the judge Furlong had violated the restraining order by coming within 50 yards of his estranged wife. Furlong, who rose to fame at age 14 playing John Connor in Terminator 2: Judgment Day, was released on $75,000 bail. He plays Tupper in The Green Hornet, which opens this Friday.

How did this geeky looking guy ever get to be a star in the first place? Looks like he just got out of bed and needs to have a shower.

Did not like him in Terminator…don’t like him now…What is it with these losers…screw it up with a woman…can’t let go…what a loser, goof & moron. He does not deserve the opportunity given to act on the big screen…moron.

    Okay,
First off, didn’t your parents ever tell you that if you can’t say something nice don’t say anything at all? Cliche as it is, it’s still a good rule. The guy went from a teen sensation to a forgotten nobody, is going through a nasty divorce, has been struggling on and off with addiction, and at present isn’t even aloud to see his son. I think that he’s going through enough without all the trash talk. If he doesn’t think that he has any fans left that believe in him, than how is he ever supposed to believe in himself? He isn’t the first child star to go down a bad road and he won’t be the last. And so what if he hasn’t aged well? His looks don’t affect his acting ability! And FYI- his acting is amazing! And having watched 27 of his movies and all 4 of his tv appearances, I do believe that his acting is something I am qualified to be judging. I’m going to see “The Green Hornet” on Sunday and I’m super excited to see him on the big screen. I think he really deserves this shot at having a comeback. SO why doesn’t everyone just talk a step back, relax, and go worry about what’s happening in our own lives. Okay? Go Team Edward!!

Why can’t he see his daughter? He most likely just wanted to see her…. This judge puts a restraining order on him when he threatens to commit suicide? Wow, good job Judge stupid. Why don’t you just tie the god damn noose from him too.

Hes come so far from Terminator and American History X. I absolutely love American History X he was stellar in that film.

So lets make excuses for him breaking the law? Because he can act? Wow, 27 movies and most of his performances unmemorable to most…I get that you are a fan, but seriously they don’t give out restraining orders for no good reason and he violated it. I can think of at least five to ten people battling substance abuse in various friends families and non of them are doing any of this crap. When will people stop making excuses for other peoples conduct. There are tons of children who have grown up acting or in families where parents were quite famous and they grow up normal. Stop making excuses for these people, they’ve already had every opportunity in the world to turn their life around!!

I completely agree with Bob, just because he acts or takes drugs, does those excuse his behavior? Its been long recognised that taking drugs causes problems 4 the user and those he knows and the ones he doesn’t know. The more we all come to terms with what the Solutions R, then the Better it will be a better & Safer World for All People.

As for the meaning of Cliche: common thought or idea, that has lost originality, ingenuity & impact. I agree its lost originality. But since when did Humans change, so they dont have to say it. So because a Lot of Years have gone by since it was 1st said; so people don’t have to say —> if u cant say anything nice, dont say abything at all. That saying will Always Be pertinent to Any Human being… When u r grandmothers/or when your older you’ll think/say what I’m saying now. Its got Nothing to do with how many years go by, except if Everyone adheres to that principle. It won’t happen because a few people think its ok not to be nice. They’ll still be not nice even if a lot of people tell them, they don’t treat people nice. But when they see someone treating another person OK, they’ll tell you you weren’t treating that person very nice?? It takes Time and energy away from their own lives and Wastes their own Life to interfere like that, when that wan’t the issue at all!

I thought with him being in such a major movie about saving the world that he’d turn out maybe somewhat better if not a lot better then he did!! I had such Hopes for him! I really hope he’ll see what he’s doing to his Son(why have a child if you can’t @ least Live by Example???) and of course his Wife and boyfriend. WHY threaten Mrs. Bella And her boyfriend?? Her boyfriend has never done anything to him and has nothing to do with him! His wife has a Life which she needs to Live! I hope he uses his GOD-given power in him to do the Right thing to use it to see his son & Not resorting to threats & intimadation, which Never Work! I hope the Best for Mr. Furlong! The more you do something to someone the more it gets more harder/more difficult of not almost impossible to mend any problems, that you Cause. The more you alienate some1 the more it may cause a rift between you yhat you may never be able yo repair. No matter how much you tell them you R sorry or you feel rotten for all the bad you’ve done!

To the Producers of The Terminator: One more last brief thing to say: I was Very Very disappointed that Mr. Furlong was not John Connor in Terminator 2 – Judgement Day! I almost Didn’t pay to go see it. I thought he would be the perfect John Connor for the conclusion of the Terminator series(that is, if there is no more). We were led to believe he would grow up and set everything right again! He’s been acting all along too. I thought Bale wouldn’t be quite right for the role. But he was magnificent in it afterall. Still if Mr. Furlong mends his ways, he should be offered the role again, absolutely for sure. Then and only then would I be willing to go see another installment in the Series. Thank you.

Oops I’m sorry, meant to say Terminator Salvation. Never did see the 1st one. Only Terminator II, Judgement Day. That was enough for me. Learned all I wanted to know in that one.
