With a 200 millions budget, I hope for them that it has legs in order to become profitable. This is only in North America though and with worl wide box office, they are probably over 80 or 90 millions but it needs some stay power and more blockbusters are coming.

I saw it last night with my girlfriend…it wasn’t great but it wasn’t bad. 3D or HD doesn’t really matter in my opinion. I heard it was expensive to make (I thought CGI was supposed to be cheaper alternative to building sets and they can make any imaginary world they want with CGI). Either way it was apparently really expensive to make and they don’t have long to make back the budget + apparently $150million in marketing. That’s $350 million. That’s a lot of coin. This was not Dark Knight. It didn’t feel like it could be based in reality like that movie felt. But it was good for a little reality escapism.
