Grey’s Anatomy star weds

Ellen Pompeo, who stars as Meredith on Grey’s Anatomy, married record producer Chris Ivery last Friday in a quiet ceremony at City Hall in New York. The two have been engaged since last November after three years of dating. They met in a grocery store. Pompeo opted for a small wedding in order to avoid paparazzi. Mayor Michael Bloomberg and Deputy Major Patti Harris were their two witnesses. Following the wedding, the newlyweds were seen at a Knick’s game at Madison Square Garden. Pompeo has since returned to Los Angeles to continue working on her series before the writer’s strike shuts it down.
