Grey’s Anatomy’s Eric Dane suing Billy Corgan

Grey’s Anatomy actor Eric Dane has filed a lawsuit against Smashing Pumpkins musician, Billy Corgan, claiming that a tree from Corgan’s property fell and nearly killed Dane’s pregnant wife, Rebecca Gayheart. Apparently, the tree fell into the roof of the home, broke power lines, set off the sprinkler system and caused a flood. Gayheart was nine months pregnant when the incident occurred. Dane and his wife are now suing Corgan for nuisance, negligence and injunctive relief. Corgan told The Hollywood Reporter, “I was horrified when I learned about the tree falling during what was a massive storm, a storm with winds strong enough to uproot a 50 ft tree by its base! Thankfully no one was injured.” In fact, the couple claim they told him about the trees before the incident and warned him to do something about it. However, Corgan said their statement is false. He’s also reportedly taken action to prevent it from happening again and even hired an expert to remove unsafe trees on his property. ~ Luxy Hariharan

Sounds like they overreacted a bit.
Sad…..as if the owner could predict that a MAJOR storm was going to uproot this tree….nothing like suing just for the sake fo suing.
