Guy Ritchie has comes to terms with the fact that his marriage to Madonna is over, according to British paper The Mirror. The director traveled to New York, where Madonna is staying with their children, in a last ditch effort to save the marriage. Ritchie apparently told his wife he would be willing to relocate the family to NYC — which is something Madonna has always wanted to do. A source told The Mirror: “Guy did a lot of soul-searching after Madonna asked him for a divorce and thought he may be able to salvage the situation by agreeing to leave London full-time for the Big Apple. He knew it was a long shot but he will do anything to keep the family together. Yet no sooner had he told her than she said it wasn’t an option any more. It’s all very sad but Guy is now resigned to them living apart.” However, Madonna’s publicist Liz Rosenberg has insisted that the conversation did not take place, adding: “There’s no break-up or divorce plan and they live together when work allows them to.” Ritchie and Madonna have a seven-year-old son, Rocco, and recently adopted a boy, David. Madonna also has an 11-year-old daughter, Lourdes, from a previous relationship.
