Gwyneth Paltrow angers neighbors

By Tribute on May 9, 2013 | 13 Comments

Gwyneth Paltrow and her husband Chris Martin are driving their neighbors crazy after building a nine foot high front gate – three feet higher than the legal limit of six feet. The Los Angeles’ Building and Safety department is undergoing an investigation after a neighbor of the Iron Man 3 actress filed an official complaint about the gate’s height violation. According to the neighbor, although Paltrow and her husband seem to want to keep out the riffraff, they live in an area filled with the wealthy and famous – Harrison Ford, Courtney Thorne-Smith and Oliver Stone are also neighbors – but Gwyneth is the only one violating the construction regulations of the area. If the gate is determined to be in violation of the limit, Gwyneth could be forced to fix her gate within 45 days or pay a fine of over $900. ~Sarah Dos Santos

She believes her shit don’t stink and everyone who has money is someone and those who do not are nobody. Sad…very, very sad. The rules for da common folk don’t apply to her…

My fence is too tall for the local by-laws, and I’m not rich. It just looked better level with the lay of the land. This is a non-story.

Nice rationalization, Jerry. You’re just lucky your neighbours don’t give a damn.

“…pay a fine of over $900”?? We should take up a collection.

Why would a hight of 9′ bother anyone? Can you see through it still or is it like Jurrasic Park doors? Maybe the person who installed it (I doubt it was her) didn’t know the bi-law and since they didn’t need a permit to put it in, it was just a simple error. Doesn’t make her a bad person for hiring someone to install a gate door that was too high.

Well put check it. While I don’t care for her much, I doubt she was integral in the planning of this fence/wall.

Ooh, a $900 fine. She’s have to find a second job.

Someone wants a little more privacy and suddenly they’re stupid? Also, what a silly law. Apparently more privacy is bad, you should bare yourselves nude to the neighbours!

well, she is famous, so she is special and she can do anything she wants!!! Rules, laws, by-laws, are just for the working class!

Is this for real, this subject is stupid! There are more important things to think about than a stupid gate. These rich people next door should be thinking of helping the growing number of homeless in your country America and the abused children in your country.
