Gwyneth Paltrow ‘psyched’ over Martha Stewart insult

Martha Stewart may have started a feud with Gwyneth Paltrow and the A-list actress couldn’t be happier about it. The lifestyle mogul took a shot at Gwyneth’s lifestyle website, Goop, reportedly saying, “She just needs to be quiet. She’s a movie star. If she were confident in her acting, she wouldn’t be trying to be Martha Stewart.”
The Shakespeare in Love actress shrugged off the insult with a laugh at Fortune‘s Most Powerful Women Summit on Tuesday, joking that no one has ever said anything bad about her before. “I’m shocked and devastated. I’ll try to recover.”
Gwyneth quickly added that she is psyched her website is seen as competition. When asked about how she deals with criticism, Gwyneth said she doesn’t take it personally. “I see it as a projection [of where they are],” she responded.
It was announced earlier this week that Goop’s new CEO, Lisa Gersh, was none other than the former CEO of Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, so this may not be the last time we hear from Martha on the rival website. ~Kelly Townsend

A recently leaked photo from the set of Avengers 4 appears to show Gwyneth Paltrow as Pepper Potts donning her own metallic version of the Iron Man suit.
I don’t like either of them, but Martha has a point.

You know what ,,I bet if you threw a quarter in the air in between Gwyneth and the other one well I surely know who will be diving for it . Empty barrels make the most noise you know. Gwyneth ill bake cookies for you any day knowing youll leave the last one.
Martha has a point. Why do all those actors need to do other stuff? It’s because they’re afraid of not having roles and having to fall back on something else to stay famous.

Why can’t they both have websites? There’s plenty of websites with great ideas out there, Pinterest doesn’t complain……….lots of sand in the sandbox, ladies……..play nice.
I don’t understand Martha or Pat’s comment above — I admire Ms. Paltrow that she is expanding her interests and ventures. If she is ‘afraid’ of not having any roles, wouldn’t it make sense that she find other means to stay productive and useful — not famous. She’s already famous not only in her own right as a top actress but also as the daughter of a famous actress and director and the wife of a famous musician — that’s not likely to go away however much time passes. Unlike alot of attention-seeking celebrities, Ms. Paltrow is not constantly in the headlines – she works, raises her children and lives what seems to be as much of a ‘normal regular joe’ kind of life that someone in her position can.
I like Paltrow’s response. Seems since Ms. Stewart’s little ‘incarceration’ she’s turned into a catty, petty beyotch looking for a cat fight with somebody. Very unbecoming of a person who shouldn’t be concerned with petty jealousy and mud-throwing other women/celebrities who might just want to share a ‘way of life’ with the public/fans who may be interested in that sort of thing. Martha should cool it before she completely alienates herself out of relevancy. She also went after Rachel Ray and other young up-and-comers too, just for sharing/demonstrating another way of doing things for those who don’t have the million dollar budget and time Stewart has to blow on party favors, seven course meals, et al. I may not be a big fan of Paltrow’s, but at least she’s showing some class and patience for the grumpy old woman. lol.
