Harry Styles buys pizza for homeless

By Tribute News on February 2, 2013 | 11 Comments

Harry Styles One Direction heartthrob Harry Styles splashed out more than $4,000 on pizza for homeless people. He made the charitable gesture when he had a day off in Los Angeles last year and bought a huge quantity of pizza to distribute among as many vagrants as he could find. Harry's close friend Ed Sheeran told the Daily Mirror: "We were in L.A. about three months ago and he had a day off. He spent two or three grand on Domino's pizza and drove around giving them out to homeless people. That's an amazing story. People write about Harry in a negative way because of his love life but he does stuff like that a lot. He's a pretty genuine guy." Friends of the 19-year-old singer agree that Harry is generous and say he is still getting used to his fame and wealth. A source said: "Harry only came into this huge amount of wealth in the past two years, so he doesn't take it for granted at all. He's really generous and likes feeling like he does some good in the world."

That doesn’t make him a good person. He has millions upon millions of dollars and dishes out 4 grand? I also buy food for homeless people all the time because I’d rather buy them food than give them money for booze and drugs. Once he does something like Beckham (donate’s his entire salary to children’s charity) then I’ll respect him.

Jim bean: the kid is 19. This gesture is more than most kids that age would even think of. I think it bodes well for him. When he reaches beckham’s age, he will likely be on the same scale. Whatever his financial resources, just to have that thought at his age is a good thing. He could be using his cash to get a Masarati entirely chrome plated like Bieber.

I don’t know the band & doubt I’d like the music but I give him respect for the simple gesture.

He actually owns at least 3 cars already… all of which are very expensive (Range Rover, Ford Capri, Audi Coupe)

I also find it strange that the article says he spent four grand and then it said in the quote 2-3 thousand? Someone trying to up his generosity level? hmm..

But kudos to feeding homeless people…although I wonder how many were actually homeless vs. I’m dirty and grungy looking and want a free meal.

I respect Harry’s actions more than a $4k donation to a charity for the following reasons.

    1) He spent his own time distributing the pizza to the homeless.

    2) He didn’t mention it to the media. A noble act is only noble if you don’t brag about it. Which he didn’t or else we would have heard about it a few months ago.

Also, Beckham donating his entire salary to charity is phenomenal, but you have to remember that his career and finances are extremely stable. This kid has only been famous for 2 years, who KNOWS if he’ll be famous next year? I would consider him to be stupid if he donated half or all of his money to charity at this stage in his career. He’s just starting out.

Also, please note that I’m not a rabid Harry fan. I’ve only heard one 1 Direction song. 🙂

Well, is it necessary to give up everything you have just to gain respect? If that so then clearly you don’t deserve respect. That’s the problem, people does good things and you all could still find negative things to say. Why can’t y’all just appreciate those little things that he does. Not everyone does things like that.
