Heath Ledger doll sells out in U.S.

Joker dollAn action figure based on Heath Ledger‘s role in the new Batman movie, The Dark Knight, sold out within minutes in the United States. Ledger had finished shooting his role as “The Joker” in the movie when he died of an overdose of prescription drugs on January 22nd in his New York apartment. People lined up outside stores to snap up the doll for US$9.99 as soon as it hit the shelves, according to the New York Post. An employee of Toys ‘R Us in Times Square said: “There are none left in the warehouse. You will be waiting awhile if you want one.” The Dark Knight hits theaters July 18th.

    i still can’t beleave we have to remember Heath Ledger’s Name from the face so ugly as the Joker.

    Hopefully the dolls were bought so quickly as a tribute to Heath’s first-rate portrayal of the Joker and not so they can be sold on ebay for some exaggerated price to capitalize on his unfortunate demise and the hype surrounding the movie.

    can’t read the disclaimer on the package … instead of the usual batteries not included does it say vicodin and ambien not included?
