Heath Ledger’s final film to premiere at Cannes

Heath Ledger‘s final film, The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, is set to premiere at the Cannes Film Festival in France on May 22nd. Ledger died at his home during a break from filming. The movie wasn’t yet finished, so three actors stepped in to help — Johnny DeppColin Farrell and Jude Law, all filling in as Tony, the same character that Ledger played. The fantasy film follows Dr. Parnassus (Christopher Plummer), the leader of a traveling theater group who long ago made a bet with the devil and won immortality. But when he makes another deal involving marrying off his first-born daughter when she turns 16, he regrets it as she approaches that age and tries to renegotiate.
