Paris HiltonDue to overcrowding in California jails, Paris Hilton will likely serve much less time than her 45-day sentence.
Los Angeles County sheriff’s spokesman Steve Whitmore said, “It’s possible that it could be 21 days, 23 days. It’s a complicated formula that the state sets down… our jail is bursting at the seams.” Last year, ex-Lost star Michelle Rodriguez was sentenced to 60 days in jail for violating probation after receiving a DUI in Hawaii. She wound up serving less than a day before being released because of overcrowding.

Honestly, who really cares, just as long as she serves some jail time for being stupid really and thinking she is “untouchable” because of her status and her parents heavy lawyers. She plays the “dumb blonde” thing really well. She broke the law, plain and simple. Now you have to be an adult and own up to it and pay the price and if it means jail time according to the law then so be it.

I may have had some compassion for Ms. Hilton, had she not been stopped for drinking and driving on a prior occasion, plus driving with a suspended drivers license. For all those people who have lost loved ones because people such as Ms. Hilton choose to drink and drive, jail time may be what it takes for her to understand that it could have been much worse. For all the kids who see her as a role model, maybe this will send a message to them as well.

My bro-in-law was killed 3 weeks ago by a drunk driver, I have no sympathy for anyone who drinks and drives.

If the jails are so over crowded, perhaps send her out of state and she can spend time in jail somewhere else. I’m sure she’d be well loved in an Alabama prison with them “purdy teeth”.
