Toronto-born funnyman Howie Mandel, 53, currently known best as the host of Deal or No Deal, was rushed to St. Michael’s hospital yesterday evening after collapsing in his Toronto hotel room. His spokesperson, Lewis Kay, released a statement this morning: “Howie is in the hospital being monitored for an irregular heartbeat but doctors expect him to be released and back to work [today]. He did not have a heart attack.” Mandel is currently working on a new show called Howie Do It, based on Candid Camera.
Hope he’s ok! I’ve always liked Howie!
What? What? What? 😛
i hope hes ok too!!! man, this is such a BAD year for celebs!
Apparently he is out of the hospital and doing fine. Still haven’t heard what happened though.
I hope he is 100 percent better, I have always liked this very funny guy
he does Canada proud….
Not my favourite comedian, to be honest, but he’s actually a very good actor. Does anybody remember way back to “St. Elsewhere”? (I guess I’m showing my age here!) Anyway, I was still shocked to hear he’d been hospitalized and I’m very glad he’s apparently better.
