Multi-Grammy nominated sensation Jennifer Hudson will sing the National Anthem as part of Super Bowl XLIII pregame festivities at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa Bay on Sunday, February 1st. This will be the Oscar winner’s first appearance since the murders of her mother, brother and seven-year-old nephew last October. She was scheduled to do a video shoot in December, but didn’t feel ready and cancelled it. More than 148 million viewers in the U.S. watched last year’s Super Bowl, the most-watched television program in history. The pre-game show and Super Bowl XLIII will be broadcast worldwide in more than 230 countries and territories.
Good for her, I am sure she will do a great job with the anthem.
I for sure will watch the halftime show, but mainly to catch Springsteen’s performance – I can hardly wait!
I’m sure she will get a standing ovation. It would take a lot of strength to go out and do what she’s doing after going through all that.
The Superbowl’s pre-game and half-time entertainment always seems bigger than the game.
Agreed, Demigod. I never watch the game, but always watch the half-time entertainment.
