Hugh Jackman shares selfie after another skin cancer treatment

Hugh Jackman has been treated for skin cancer once again.

The 48-year-old Australian actor posted a selfie to Instagram and Twitter yesterday (Monday, Feb. 13) revealing that he’s been undergoing treatment for basal cell carcinoma, which is the most common form of skin cancer.

The photo depicts Hugh with a bandage over his nose. With his caption, the Les Misérables Oscar nominee writes, “Another basal cell carcinoma. Thanks to frequent body checks and amazing doctors, all is well. Looks worse with the dressing on than off. I swear! #wearsunscreen”

Otherwise known as Wolverine, Hugh has been previously treated for basal cell carcinoma at least four times. His first treatment dates back to 2013 while his most recent occurred one year ago.

In February 2016, he took to Facebook to share a similar image of himself with a bandage covering his nose. His caption reads, “An example of what happens when you don’t use sunscreen. Basal cell. The mildest form of cancer. PLEASE WEAR SUNSCREEN and get check ups regularly!”

Hugh’s next project is Logan, the third installment in the X-Men franchise’s Wolverine movies. It’s set to slash into theaters March 3, 2017.
