Ian McKellen officiates Patrick Stewart’s wedding to Sunny Ozell

Patrick Stewart, 73, married his girlfriend, singer-songwriter Sunny Ozell, 35, yesterday. The veteran actor confirmed the news on Twitter by sharing a cheerful photo of himself and Sunny playing inside a children’s ball pit, with a message that reads: “Yes, married.” Patrick’s X-Men co-star and longtime friend, Ian McKellen, 74, officiated the wedding. Also proving that old age was not a deterrent from being social media savvy, Ian confirmed his role as officiator with a Facebook photo of himself holding a “Doctor of Divinity” license and wearing a T-shirt with the title “Minister” written on it. Along with a link to Patrick’s tweet, Ian wrote: “I did my part.” This marks Patrick’s third time tying the knot. He was previously married to Star Trek producer Wendy Neuss and choreographer Sheila Falconer, with whom he has two children. ~Alfonso Espina
