Emily Deschanel opts for vegan diet during pregnancy

Bones star Emily Deschanel has begun a vegan diet for her first pregnancy after consulting with celebrity dietician Ashley Koff. “What we want to do is give the body just enough energy so that it performs well,” Koff says about Deschanel’s diet. “She loves nut butters,” Koff added. “And sometimes we’ll do fun smoothies, especially if she’s at work. We’ll take coconut water, nut butter, and berries and make a smoothie so she’s got something to sustain her energy in a liquid form.” Deschanel, who married actor David Hornsby last September, announced in March that she is expecting. Her pregnancy has been written into her show, with her character, Dr. Temperance Brennan telling her partner Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz) in the season finale that she was pregnant with his child. Bones returns for a seventh season this November.

I have to say it. I just don’t see her and her husband as a couple. They seem to me in various pictures as different numbers on the scales. If you’ve ever watched house you’ll know what I mean.

Your headline is wrong. Emily Deschanel did not opt for a vegan diet during pregnancy after consulting a dietician. She has been a vegan for 18 years! She just adapted her vegan diet while pregnant.

well L1feless you got your facts wrong. Emily’s husband was never in House, his works include It”s always sunny in philadelphia, and Fanboy and Chum Chum. never once did he star in House, directed an episode or wrote and episode. Sorry. and i think her nad her husband look great together.

It’s really the healthiest thing you could do for your baby. Good for her.
