Amanda Bynes released from rehab

After completing her inpatient treatment at the Canyon treatment center in Malibu, actress Amanda Bynes has moved into her parents’ Los Angeles home under the care of her mother. The medication and counseling that Amanda received for the treatment of her bipolar disorder and schizophrenia stabilized the actress enough to be released to the care of her mother while still receiving outpatient treatment. Amanda had been staying at the Canyon treatment center since September following her stay at the UCLA psych ward, where she was involuntarily hospitalized after setting fire to a stranger’s driveway. Amanda’s mother’s attorney told People magazine that Amanda is “now looking at various colleges with the intention of majoring in fashion design. She’s mentioned before she’s interested in creating a clothing line.” Although Amanda has been released, her finances and well being are in the control of her mother, Lynn. ~Brie Davis
