Big Hero 6 tops weekend box office

bighero6Stomping his way into first place, Big Hero 6 and his friend Hiro took the top spot this weekend at the box office, raking in an estimated $56.2 million. The friendly warrior won the hearts of families this weekend, with a current holding of 4.25 Tribute stars. Audiences will be pleased with the accuracy of  the film, as it was inspired by a Marvel comic of the same name. Keep an ear out for Scott Adsit and Damon Wayans Jr., who lend their vocals to the animation. 

Matthew McConaughey‘s Interstellar trailed behind with an estimated $50 million but earning a 4.2 star Tribute rating. Rounding out the top 5 films this weekend were Gone Girl, still holding its own at an estimated $6.1 millionOuija with an estimated $6 million, and St. Vincent with an estimated $5.7 million.
