Bradley Cooper in talks to play The Crow

The Hangover star Bradley Cooper, whose star power was proven in his recent film Limitless, is in talks for a remake of the 1994 horror film The Crow. The film is a comic book adaptation about a rock guitarist who returns from the dead a year after he and his fiancée are murdered, to take revenge on the killers, tracking them down one by one. The original film is most famous for the tragic death of Brandon Lee, 28, (above left) the son of the late Bruce Lee. Brandon was on the verge of stardom when he landed the role.
With just eight days left to shoot, Brandon was killed during a scene in which his character returns home to find his fiancée being attacked by thugs. It was later determined that a bullet tip had jammed into the barrel after crew members manufactured their own dummy bullets from live ammunition rather than buying them. On the night of the shoot, the live round was fired out of the gun by an actor playing a villain, who hadn’t been properly briefed by the weapons specialists. Brandon fell to the ground as the scene continued around him. It was only after the director yelled “Cut” that it was discovered he’d actually been shot in the abdomen. He later died in hospital and the movie was completed using a stunt double. Are you looking forward to a remake of The Crow? I actually remember when that happened. I think Hollywood should leave this alone. Let Brandon’s version stand, they don’t need to remake it.

Shouldn’t be made. I think Cooper could pull it off, but the zeitgeist is non-existant to make that movie like it was for the original.

Another example of Hollywood trying to milk money out of a good franchase of the past…While were at it. Lets remake the Wizard of Oz or Gone with the wind.
take the hint Hollywood, no one wants this remake to happen. Leave it as is, and come up with an original idea or adapt another book. Leave the crow where it belongs.
Why do they keep remaking old movies? The world of fantasy is infinite. Not to mention how many absolutely horrid TRUE life stories there are to make movies out of. Surely they can come up with other ideas for movies instead of old retreads.
A remake should not be done. Let the original version stand as a testament to Brandon Lee. Have some respect Hollywood.

I guess Hollywood likes to throw away money. People can’t afford to spend their hard earned dollars on seeing films in the theaters that are nothing more than rehashed classics. If I want to see a truly great film, I will rent or buy Brandon Lee’s Crow for a fraction of the price. Let the original stand as a sad monument to a young man who’s time was cut far to short.
Does Hollywood seriously have no more imagination? If you look at all the remakes and reboots they are trying to pull off, it seems like it. I have not seen this movie, but they need to leave it, and possibly every other great movie, alone and think of some new material.
I think that it could be “doomed” from the start! The fact that such a “tragic” accident had happened to Brandon, on set, in the first movie The Crow, I suspect that something could go wrong in this remake. The whole genre of this particular movie, which is based on evil, could fall into a kind of “cursed” aura. I don’t think it should be remade.
They should just leave it alone. I love the first movie, let it be. No remake!

No remake! Make something original
Originality in hollywood seems to have died out. The films coming out now, and in the past several years, have been either remakes or adaptations of books, tv shows, comics, ect.
Now, the big thing to do is make movies on tragedy in the news, such as the Casey Anthony trial.
Sad. Very sad.
