The hit movie Bring It On (2000), starring Kirsten DunstEliza Dushku, and Jesse Bradford, has been turned into a musical. This stage show has many similarities to the original movie, which was so popular that it spawned several sequels. In 2004, Universal Pictures released a video titled Bring It On Again, about college students wanting to create their own cheerleading teams to perform “cheer offs.” Three years later, Bring It On: All or Nothing was released starring Hayden Panettiere. In 2007 Beacon Communication and Universal Pictures combined to produce Bring It On: In It To Win It starring Ashley Benson and Cassie Scerbo. The final movie title, Bring It On: Fight to the Finish, was released in 2009 and starred Christina Milian. The movies have been a huge success, but this is the first time that Bring It On has made it to the stage. It runs from May 2 to June 3 at the Ed Mirvish Theater in Toronto before heading to Broadway. ~Krystin Edgerton
