Cameron Douglas moved to minimum security

Cameron Douglas has been moved to a minimum security prison camp. The 31-year-old son of actor Michael Douglas – who, last month, was sentenced to five years behind bars for drug dealing – had been housed at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York since his arrest last August, but has now been transferred to a unit in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, which doesn’t have fences. Cameron will live in a dormitory style barracks with rows of bunk beds and will also be expected to work, according to People.com. Inmates are allowed outdoors in the evenings but they are expected inside once it’s dark, and are normally in bed by 10pm. During his sentencing, Cameron’s lawyer, Nicholas De Feis, had asked the judge to recommend Cameron receive drug treatment in prison although that won’t happen until he nears the end of his sentence. Cameron’s father Michael recently said he believes prison will save his son’s life. The 65-year-old star thinks the five-year sentence will finally help Cameron overcome his addiction problems and allow him to make a “fresh start” when he is released.

Obviously daddy doesn’t realize there’s more drugs/better quality in the prisons, than there is on the streets.Which is probably the reason they’re waiting until the end of his sentence, before receiving any drug rehab!!!I hope for Cameron’s sake he will beat his addiction!
