Carrie Underwood, 27, and Ottawa Senators player Mike Fisher 30, were married at the Ritz Carlton Reynolds Plantation in Georgia on Saturday in front of 250 friends and family in a $500,000 ceremony that featured classical music and the couple’s favorite passages from the Bible. Underwood wore a Chantilly lace dress by Monique Lhuillier, who also designed the bridesmaids’ dresses. People magazine is believed to have paid $2 million for exclusive access. They plan to publish the wedding photos in their next issue. Underwood and Fisher two dated for a year before getting engaged last December. They set off for a honeymoon on Sunday from a private Georgia airport on their way to LAX to catch flights leaving for Bora Bora and Tahiti.

Y’know, as a Leafs fan, I must say that I honestly can’t say anything against Mike Fisher. He has always seemed be to be a classy player in a locker-room full of hooligans. As much as Country music and I have a mutual hatred for each other, and as much as I hate the Ottawa Senators, I can only wish them the best years of their lives to come.

She should now change her name to Carrie Fisher
