Cars 2 “Agents on a Mission” Tour coming to Canada

Disney/Pixar and State Farm Insurance have partnered to bring Cars 2 stars Lightning McQueen, Mater, and Finn McMissile on a 30-city tour entitled “Agents on a Mission,” including stops in Toronto and Ottawa. The tour hits Toronto April 9 to 11 at the NASCAR SpeedPark at Vaughan Mills Mall and Ottawa on April 14 at Place d’Orléans Shopping Centre. The cars are full-size radio-controlled models, weighing between 1,760 and 2,700 lbs. Each can travel for 30 minutes on electrical power at speeds up to 10 miles per hour. The replicas will also be on show at the red-carpet world premiere of Cars 2 in Los Angeles on Saturday, June 18, 2011. Besides checking out the cars, visitors will be able to take part in a variety of Cars 2-themed activities, including a video kiosk, e-photo opportunities, games and giveaways, and enter a sweepstakes featuring 18,000 prizes, including a new car. The original Cars movie, released in 2006, featured the voices of Owen Wilson, Larry the Cable Guy and Paul Newman. It was nominated for two Oscars and one Golden Globe Award, winning the first ever Golden Globe for Best Animated Feature Film.
