Daniel Radcliffe, in everyone’s mind, will always be known as Harry Potter. That may change as he transitions from child star to adult star with the many projects he has lined up, both in film and onstage. Although he’s proud of the Harry Potter legacy, Daniel wants people to see him playing different roles. The 23-year-old actor says, “Hopefully later on this year people will start to see some very different performances from me. And hopefully some really good movies. It’s about the movie as a whole, not just people studying my performance and seeing how I’m getting different and how I’m growing up.” Daniel will be taking on the London stage in Martin McDonagh’s (Seven Psychopaths) comedy set in 1930s Ireland, The Cripple of Inishmaan, playing a disabled orphan, Billy. It will be running for 12 weeks starting June 8, 2013 at Noel Coward Theatre. He can also soon be seen on the big screen in Kill Your Darlings, The F Word from Canadian director Michael Dowse, Horns, and a pop-culture spin on Frankenstein. ~E. Guevarra

The Lost City starring Sandra Bullock, Channing Tatum, Daniel Radcliffe, and Brad Pitt, is a hilarious rom-com that plays out beautifully on the big screen.
I think it’s great he’s trying real hard to branch out and become a solid actor. good on ya.
I like how he doesn’t want to be known just as Harry Potter. What’s that term called? Typecasting? Where actors who’ve played a character for so long that they’re only associated with that type of role and have trouble finding work in other roles, such as Mario Lopez as AC Slater or Matthew Perry as Chandler. At least Daniel is breaking out of it early!
Enjoyed the whole Harry Potter thing and now can’t wait to see how he’s gotten away from his youth and sinks his teeth into more adult roles. Looking forward to seeing him in new roles.
