In the latest comic book movie news, Denzel Washington is in negotiations to join the cast of 2 Guns, Deadline reports. Washington would be joining Mark Wahlberg (currently starring in Contraband) who is already attached to this Universal Pictures’ project. The movie is based on a graphic novel by the same name by Steven Grant and published by BOOM! Studios. It’s the story of two men who team up to rob a bank, both unaware that the other is an undercover agent or that the bank is not the real target at all. The project would also see Wahlberg teaming up once more with Contraband director Baltasar Kormakur. Washington can currently be seen on the big screen in Safe House, which opens today in theaters. ~Rodrigo Cokting
