Diary of a Wimpy Kid rules box office

Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules ruled the box office, grossing an estimated $24.4 million (all figures U.S.) at the weekend box office and earning 4.1 out of 5 stars from Tribute users. Debuting in second place was the girl power action movie, Sucker Punch, which grossed an estimated $19 million and received 3.6 stars from Tribute users. Last weekend’s top movie, Limitless, starring Bradley Cooper, dropped to third place with another $15.2 million, retaining its high rating of 4.3 stars. The Lincoln Lawyer starring Matthew McConaughey retained fourth place for the second weekend in a row, earning $11 million and 4 stars from Tribute users. Rango, the animated film featuring Johnny Depp‘s voice as the main character, rounded out the top five, earning another $9.8 million for a four-week cumulative gross of $106 million.

    Hopefully this is a message to filmmakers and studios. More G-rated movies that we can take the entire family to, please. Less vulgarity.
