Emma Stone wanted to be a Spice Girl

Tell me what you want, what you really, really want? Emma Stone confesses as a young girl she was inspired by the Spice Girls. The Amazing Spider-Man actress was obsessed with the girl band while growing up and copied their fashion sense. “If we’re being honest, it was Spice World [where I got my style]” said Stone to Entertainment Weekly. “I wanted platform shoes and crop tops and I wanted to dress like the Spice Girls. I got platform Skechers. I had bell-bottoms. A lot of peace signs.” The 23-year-old star was especially dazzled by one specific Spice Girl by the name of Emma “Baby Spice” Bunton. “I cut my bangs like Baby Spice because I had blonde hair. I wanted to be Baby Spice,” said Stone. “I wasn’t Baby because my voice sounded exactly how it does now, and I had that spunky energy going on – I wasn’t super demure and sweet. But I really wanted to be.” ~Graeme Mollison

I’m glad she grew up and realized what nonsense that would’ve been.
