Farrah Fawcett excludes Ryan from will

Farrah Fawcett has left most of her $5.5 million fortune to her troubled son Redmond O’Neal, 24, excluding her longtime partner Ryan O’Neal, Redmond’s father, from her will. Fawcett, who died after a long bout with cancer on June 25th, appointed trustees to ensure the money will be doled out to her son in portions so that he doesn’t waste it all on drugs. An insider told Britain’s Daily Mail: “Farrah appointed two trustees to make sure the money supports her son’s journey into sobriety rather than giving him the means to destroy himself. Redmond’s inheritance will be tightly controlled.” Redmond, who has a history of drug-related problems stemming back to his early teens, is currently serving time in prison for possession of drugs.

She did the right thing. Making sure her son is secure and taken care of. Ryan has his own money…he doesn’t need hers.
Well, good for her, because I think he (Ryan) was in this for more than her support system, I think Ryan was in this for himself. So is this her biological son? And is he her only biological child? I’m not familiar with the whole family; who is his child and who is their child. Good thing she put it in trust though…he’ll probably still get good chunks of change at a time, but this is definitely the only way to maintain some control, and I’m sure there are some clauses in there to protect the trust if he is confirmed to be using/abusing drugs.
I don’t understand, Carol. You say that you are not familiar with the whole family, and yet you say Ryan was in “this” for himself. On what do you base such a belief, and what was he trying to get for himself? Are you saying he spent time with her during her illness only to get money from her will?
Agreed, Carol, I’ve felt the same way. He has only ever been concerned about himself and judging by her will, I’d say she knew it. btw, Redmond is the son they have together, he also has a daughter Tatum, and another son (both older than Redmond), by someone else.
Pete, I’m not familiar with whose kids are Farrah’s and who is both of theirs.

I have heard Ryan a lot since she’s been sick, mostly towards the end of it, I am familiar with him and I think he is a @ss. I think he was in this for himself, to get attention, perhaps her wealth. He seems to have come back at the 11th hour.

No prob, Carol, actually I’m pretty sure Redmond is Farrah’s only child. But Ryan has at least three.
