Gary Coleman died at the age of 42 in a Utah hospital this afternoon. He sustained a head injury during a fall at his home on Wednesday and slipped into a coma at the hospital as a result of an intracranial hemorrhage, which is bleeding inside the brain. “Family members and close friends were at his side when life support was terminated,” Utah Valley Regional Medical Center said in statement. “Family members express their appreciation and gratitude for the support and prayers that have been expressed for Gary and for them.” The statement also said that on Thursday Coleman was “conscious and lucid, but by early afternoon that same day, Mr. Coleman was slipping in and out of consciousness and his condition worsened.” His family released a statement that reads: “At times it may not have been apparent, but he always had fond memories of being an entertainer and appreciates his fans for all their support over the years.”

He was usually in the news. (usually it was a story that cast him in bad light) To me, he seemed like a shy person it was only when the press kept on harassing him, he acted out. He truly lead a sad life (always being watched) when maybe he just wanted a quiet life. I hope he will be in peace now.

    Rest in peace, Gary.
Isn’t this quite similar to how Natasha Richardson died?

Differ’ent Strokes was one of my favorite shows growing up. Despite the things that GC went through he made a lot of people laugh. RIP GC.
