George Clooney feels ‘pretty great’ after wedding

George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin George Clooney, 53, feels ”pretty damn great” after marrying Amal Alamuddin. The Monuments Men star says he is ”looking forward to everything” in his life after tying the knot in Venice on Saturday. Speaking to People magazine, he said: ”Marriage feels pretty damn great. We’re looking forward to everything.” The couple exchanged platinum rings as they wed in front of around 100 guests, including Matt Damon and U2 frontman Bono, during the 30-minute ceremony. Amal’s mother Baria praised George’s ”wit” and ”generosity” and described him as ”perfect” in a speech at the event. She explained: ”I said, ‘George, we love you truly, deeply and sincerely. We enjoy your charm, your wit, intelligent conversation and generosity. You are simply perfect.'”

George’s father Nick Clooney, who attended the wedding with wife Nina, also made a speech during the ceremony, during which he heaped praise on the couple. He said: ”George and Amal present us with … belief that in this place and at this moment, love is alive and well.” George and Amal also underwent a civil ceremony at Palazzo Ca’Loredan, an official council building in the city, yesterday, to legally marry in accordance with Italian laws. The ceremony was officiated by the actor’s friend, former Rome Mayor Walter Viltroni, who also presided over the wedding on Saturday.
