George Clooney to film in Vancouver

Ladies – be on the lookout for George Clooney this summer as he will be in Vancouver filming his new science fiction film. The Disney flick Tomorrowland has been confirmed by the B.C Film Commission to begin shooting this August 1 with an expected completion date of January 1, 2014. Although director Brad Bird has not yet released the storyline, there are assumptions from Hollywood blogs as to what it may be. Most indicate that it primarily involves three characters: a man (Clooney) who gets kicked out of Tomorrowland, an evil genius and a pre-pubescent girl robot. Lead actor Hugh Laurie from the television drama House has been selected to play the role of the villain. If all goes according to schedule, release in theaters is set for December 19, 2014, just in time for next year’s holiday season. ~Rebecca Raveendran
