Billed as “The Original High School Musical,” Grease, the 1978 movie musical starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John is returning to theatres, but this time with the lyrics onscreen so the audience can sing along. Just a couple of notes though. This may be the “original high school musical,” but it’s not completely the original Grease as you may remember it. During the song Greased Lightnin’, where Travolta clearly sings “The chicks’ll cream for Greased Lightenin’,” the onscreen lyrics say “The chicks’ll scream…” Screaming yet? But that’s not all. Digital alteration has come a long way. At one point, where Danny turns to look at something with a cigarette dangling from his lips, it’s been magically removed — you would never know it was there. As the announcer says at the beginning of the sing-along trailer, “It’s Grease, like you’ve never seen it before.” But hey, it’s a fun trip down memory lane — if you’re one of the fans who’ve already seen it a dozen times or more and you want to sing along, here’s a link to the website to “demand it.”

Ohh wee.. I can hardly wait…. it was the best
This PC crap is going too far! This is a classic, to “edit” it is just plain stupid.
For a classic, it’s the corniest trailer I’ve ever seen. Overacting much? These guys should get a razzie.
It will always be “Cream” to me. I shall never say “Scream!” NEVAHHH!!! I suppose Danny also no longer claims she got friendly down in the sand, too. Stoopit.
