Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2This weekend’s box office saw a King and a comedic mother-daughter duo battle to take down Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 from the top spot, but Guy Ritchie‘s King Arthur: Legend of the Sword and Amy Schumer‘s kidnapping comedy, Snatched, were no match for the Marvel movie.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 stayed strong at the box office and held onto first place in its second week of release. The film, which sees the gang of galaxy defenders back together to save the day, took in a stellar $63 million, making its gross earnings at the domestic box office a hefty $246.2 million. Our users are enjoying the film as well, giving it a 4.2 out of 5 star rating.

Not to be outdone, Snatched, starring Amy Schumer and Goldie Hawn, debuted in the second spot. The film about a mother and daughter trip to South America was timed perfectly for Mother’s Day Weekend. The film laughed all the way to the bank, bringing in $17.5 million at the domestic box office. Our users gave the film a rating of 1.6 out of 5 stars.

In a surprising turn of events, King Arthur: Legend of the Sword, starring Charlie Hunnam, debuted in third place. The film took in $14.7 million from domestic audiences.  The film, which tells the story about a boy who would fulfill his destiny and become King, garnered a solid 3.75 out of 5 star rating from our users.

Dropping from second to fourth spot was box office veteran The Fate of the Furious, which, in its fifth week, took in $5.3 million, making its current domestic gross a whopping $215 million. Our users aren’t exactly furious with the film either, as they’ve given it a rating of 4.2 stars.

Rounding out the top five was another previous box office champ, The Boss Baby. Going from third spot to fifth, it earned an additional $4.6 million in its seventh week at the box office, which means its current gross domestic earnings are a healthy $162.4 million — nothing to cry about there. Our users gave the film a 3 star rating.
