Harry Potter stuntman injured

A 25-year-old stuntman working on the latest Harry Potter film, Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows, was seriously injured Wednesday, according to UK paper The Mirror. The 25-year-old man, who doubles for the film’s star, Daniel Radcliffe, was suspended by a harness in mid-air for a scene in which Harry is flying when a planned explosion went wrong. “It is thought he may have been caught by the explosion and hit the ground very hard,” said a source. “He told crew members who went to help him he couldn’t feel anything from the waist down. Everyone is just hoping he makes a good recovery. It has come as a terrible shock.” A spokesperson for the studio said: “We can confirm a member of the Harry Potter production was injured in an accident. We are awaiting further news.”

You people are idiots the stuntman falls and can’t feel anything below his waist and your worried whether or not the film is going to be delayed. Who cares lets just hope this guy gets to walk again.
You said excactly what I was thinking Mary….who cares if the movie is going to be delayed or not, this poor guy got seriously injured. I as big a Harry Potter fan as the next guy but this guys well being should be the first thing of concern.
What is the matter with everyboby, has everyone become so cynical, that we can’t show compassion any longer?? Our thoughts should be with the stuntman that got hurt. Our well wishes should be directed towards his recovery, not whether this will delay the movie!
First of all Mary…WHO are the “you people who are all idiots” for asking if the movie is going to be delayed? Only 1 person asked if it was going to be delayed…so I guess you’re calling ALL 3 people who commented before you “idiots”..???
Channnny is entitled to her/his opinion too and did say that this accident “sucks”..at least she/he wasn’t nearly as rude as you!!
Anyways, I hope this guy fully recovers. It’s weird how Daniel is the one who makes millions of dollars yet this guy’s job is to take all the falls for him…literally!

Jen that is not the life of a stunt double. There has always got to be safety in the work place no matter what the work. I know accidents happen but from what I heard this accident didn’t have to happen. Negligence for the all mighty dollar, that sucks.

yes, channy is entitled to her opinion, but mary never said that she wasnt..also im quite sure that mary tried to give the impression on being rude in order to make a point:
and the point being that channys comment was as inapropriate as standing in a vets office with a dog that was hit by a car and asking whether or not he would still be able to carry the newspaper in for you
i also forgot to answer in responce to NANCY’s final questions; i don’t find it funny at all the daniel makes more money, first, he puts far more hours in doing all the acting scenes and second when seeing a movie, you are there, for the most part, to watch the actors. i personally could not sit for an hour and a half watching a stunt man
It seems to me that Channy may be truly shocked and saddened by the stuntman’s accident. It’s just that the message refers briefly to that fact and then moves on to another concern (the movie’s release date) without a transition… that “in-between” line that says “And now for something much less important but I’m just wondering…” Some people then assume Channy is heartless because the two concerns seem equated, whereas maybe Channy just didn’t feel like writing every one of his/her thoughts out.
Some of us (not me, LOL) like to put our thoughts in a nutshell.
Poor guy… I hope that he will be okay.

Stan: I NEVER said that Mary’s statement “must be COMPLETELY invalid”, did I? I also NEVER said that Mary didn’t have a good point. What I am saying, is that if Channnney chooses not to express a whole lot of concern about this guys health and does express more concern for the movie, doesn’t mean that her/his opinion is any lesser than anyone else’s. Oh please, don’t write back to me and say “Mary never said Channnney’s opinion was any lesser”! Because when Mary called Channey an “idiot”, that pretty much told me that Mary considers Channnney’s comment “lesser”. It’s not what Mary wanted or expects to hear (and obviously not Mary alone). Well, that’s too bad, because everyone is different and the world doesn’t revolve around those who have the same opinions as ‘Mary’!! I only have one problem with Mary’s comment….and that is when she refers to someone as being an “idiot” for stating THEIR opinion! Next, how do you know Channnney is a “her”? And you said “Channnney’s comment was inappropriate”…inappropriate for who? Because it’s not what you or Mary WANT to hear? So you side with Mary, who thinks it is “appropriate” to go around telling people they are “idiots”? Next, you “also forgot to answer in response to NANCY’s final questions”…?? Oh but I do believe I am supporting you….if not totally, then somehow through whatever system or benefit you and most of the people here are on. I’ve just taken the time to go through all the posts and comments that have been made recently as well as those in the archives and can’t help but notice that the same old people post the same old stuff….
If any of you are actually employed, (and I can tell from your grammar, choice of words and topic of discussions that if do have one, it’s at some blue collar job with no access to the net) where do you people find the time to sit here posting at all hours of the day and night? I sure as hell don’t have time at work to be sitting online fighting with some nitwit over a topic that doesn��t affect my life whatsoever. For that matter, I don’t even have time in my personal life to keep running back to the computer between the washer and dryer or running home from a night out to check if someone has retaliated to my last comment. I don��t believe any of you work or have a life other than this pathetic little soap opera that you have going on here.
And by tax, I��m referring to income tax, not gst or pst that you are paying on your purchases. In order to pay INCOME TAX , YOU HAVE TO WORK!

Wow, for someone who claims to have no spare time at work or in his/her personal life, “You people…” sure has been on here a lot today. Must be a rare day off work, and the personal life isn’t offering anything in the way of excitement today.
Just fyi, “You people…”, the regular posters on here work for a living, and as far as I’ve heard to date, none are blue collar workers, not that that really has anything to do with anything, blue collar workers pay INCOME TAX as well. I’ve been posting on this site for a long time now, because I enjoy it, and the regulars have occasionally talked about work, family, etc, and I don’t recall anyone saying that they are on any kind of social assistance. So before you go running your mouth off saying that YOU are supporting us, maybe you could do a little research on here.
